Another one for the list

So sorry Joe..

We have been cleaning our dishwasher strainer filter every 6-8 months. It has always been pretty clean. But we also clean off everything that gets loaded into the dishwasher really well, so there is no food debris on anything.
Just add this to your maintenance check list guys/gals.

Special thanks to Sr. Fox who made this and posted this up on FB and YouTube.

Nice. We never had an issue in our old rig, but it's nice to know it disassembles easily. We scrape and do a pre-rinse so maybe that's why we're lucky.

My dish washer doesn’t look like that.

Too funny! Did not know there was a filter that needs maintenance.

So 2.5 years of doing a load virtually every day and mine still works without ever taking it apart.

Why the HE!! do this dis assembly every month???

Could not tell you Ron. I went 1 1/2 years with out even checking. I just pull the filter every 6 months and clean out what is there. Which is not really anything.

I have never looked, does the manual state anything?

I would assume the strainer that is visible will trap the big stuff and anything that passes will simply head to the dump tank.
