Decals
I just bought a da buffer to wax the rig, 2016 MS. I did my first wax job by hand. Do I need to worry about the nose decals streaking or smugging? Thanks for any in-site.

First of all I don't know a thing about it. However, I'd be afraid to try it. It seems like a lot could go wrong. I'd think the heat generated could soften the glue. The decals are very thin and somewhat soft, and I'd think you could easily take the top layer off or go through entirely.

We've used a buffer and it worked well. It was an orbital and we don't hold it in one spot so it doesn't build up heat. Also don't use to much pressure.

X2, I use a buffer as well. Used as described above with NO ill-affects so far.

First thing we did when we got our trailer home was remove the thin gold decals on the nose and wax the entire trailer with Rejex. We did leave the large "D" decal but that is going to come off this Winter. I don't like decals and it gave it a nice clean look.

I have a DeWalt non-orbital buffer and didn't run into any problems with ours.

When it comes to any type of decals, I just wipe over them with a soft cloth and spray on Turtle Wax.

A friend of ours has always used McGuire's wax on his 5th wheel. They just traded it in after 13 years and the decals look like new. I've switched to McGuires.

I use Mcguires cleaner and sealer, but use a different final wax.

The buffer did not effect the graphics at all. Thanks for the feedback.

I use the same buffer with the blue foam pads and Meguiar's M6132 Flagship Premium Cleaner/Wax. Works great and isn't too much work.
