I know you guys don't like Ford's for some reason but they do have a similar feature available on the F150's at least:

I've seen a few of the Ford adds though, & I'm not convinced that it's anything other than a gimmick.
They only show a very limited snapshot of its use...
it looks like you are still manually steering the thing, just with a knob instead of the wheel
...all while "head down" with your head and brain down in the cockpit
and looking at a camera view that is obstructed so you only see the front of the trailer, and not fully what is beside or behind it.

yep, Gimmick until I see more.....
Just learn to use your mirrors and back a trailer....it's not hard.

I'll stick to the old way & keep the horses laughing. The automation looks like a good way to have an accident, try explaining that to your insurance, "I wasn't backing into that car, the truck was!".
