Terry, today that fan was probably the least expensive repair.

Broken plastic cabinet door catches. Two cabinets completely emptied.

Including a ceramic mug that put a divot on the counter top. A salt grinder that somehow got wedged under a slide out, took two to remove it.
And my kitchen slide is coming apart at the seams - literally.

DirecTV receiver was hanging out of the cabinet by the wires. Just far enough to clear the cabinet and not damage it but not far enough to not hit the counter top.
Hopefully the reason the DTV is not seeing the LNB is because it popped the coax connector some.

Oh, and one of the pocket doors I do like on this rig dropped off on of the trucks. Of course it is the inner one.

And my hydraulics have some serious issues. Both leveling and the slides.

Hi juice. I got the fan at Amazon and this is it:

Kichler 300107NI 44-Inch Canfield Fan, Brushed Nickel

I had to order a 12 inch downrod, and it clears the bottom of the dinette slide by about 2 inches.

Do you have a link to that fan on Amazon?
Thanks in advance!
Juice, if the pitch is not listed, according to what I’ve researched, it’s probably less than 14, which is the minimum for a ‘good’ fan. For quality, you don’t want one less than 14. I spent a lot of time, on a lot of web sites, before I found this one. Amazon may not have the pitch listed, but Kichler has it on their web site. Also, this fan weighs about 18 pounds. According to DRV, the mount is rated for 20-25.

Gee, Port, this is your maiden voyage; correct? The only things that I can identify with are the DTV box and hydraulics. We hit some porpoiseing roads going to Virginia last year, and when we stopped, the A:V receiver was hanging down and banging into the tv; rubbed a small hole in the center of the picture. It was a POS from DRV anyway, so I replaced it. I don’t have the fireplace under the tv and it’s an empty cabinet. I built a shelf and moved all the electronics down there. Now the upper cabinets are empty.

The hydraulics were 2 quarts low.

Opened the trailer up today to among other things, fan blades pieces on the floor.
OUCH! Sorry to hear this. Shocked to hear that was it holding your fan junction box on. It really had no chance of staying up there secured like that. I think I have only had a couple of really rough roads that opened cabinets up and shifted things or dumped them on the floor. I then found a cure to them to secure them better. As for some reason they were the weak link. I hope that you get all fixed up quickly.
Travel safe.

Port, I'm not sure if I posted these pictures previously, but I'll post again to be sure. The first is after the A/V receiver came out and damaged the tv. I was in the process of moving everything to the lower cabinet in the first picture, and then there's the finished product.

Kind of. Brought the trailer home on May 31st
Only 6-7 days home since then. On our 6th campsite since new.

Gettysburg for the week and it is hot out. At least the 3 AC’s work well.

Today’s pressing issue is figuring out how to get the pocket door frame apart so I can get the door back on the tracks .......This is the bedroom door

Is there a cabinet mounter on other side of wall in pic over the pocket track? If so remove cut a hole and re attach.

Use two pipe cleaners twisted together thru the door handles that are pairs.

Here is a fix to keep pocket door from coming loose while traveling.

If the staples were used with a couple beads of gorilla glue we wouldn’t be discussing this.

It looks to me like he cut a piece of pipe insulation and used it as a spacer on the top strap of the pocket door. I would think this would allow really no movement when traveling.

Yes and the pc of 1/4" rod with 1/4 ID hose slipped over it with a hole drilled next to flush bolt. Foam along with the rod in hole will keep the door stable and will NOT bounce around!

Might as well replace all of them. They all will break.

porthole=Were you able to determine what broke the fan blade? And I take it that you removed the fan, box and well from the ceiling, and that it did not fall. Correct?

Bill

If you are afraid to speak the truth because of what others may think, it says a lot about who you are and what you will settle for.

Nothing bad about the truth. Just keep it factual.

Ok, think I get it now.
Mine doesn’t use straps. Has a spring loaded vertical rod that pockets into a recess at each end of travel.

My take is the inner truck assembly was loose and it popped out of the bracket screwed to the door.

I was able to pull the trim board off far enough to reach in with a hook and grab the truck.

Would not "keep it factual" be the very definition of truth? And not just to suit your agenda?

Bill
