Got some advice from Winegard today

When our Winegard Slimline failed to close, I called Winegard and they walked me through the reset procedure. When we finished I asked what caused the system to as they call it "loose it bearing". He said there are many things but high gusts of wind are the most likely cause. The night before the system failed I told him we had gusts up to 45 mph, and we began to loose channels. He asked if I knew if the dish was facing into the wind. When I told him it was, and he said the gusts can move the the dish enough to cause it to loose its bearing and cause a need to reset.

I asked if I should lower the dish in high wind, he said it always a good idea, but as an example if the dish is 90 degrees to the wind with the dish cutting the wind you will probably be ok. Just FYI for those interested interested.
