After regulator removal there is a 1/8" MPT nipple sticking out.

I prefer using yellow propane rated teflon pipe dope.

Having trouble posting the pictures of the fittings.

I like the quick connect on both ends.

OK, I thought we talked about reading?

"I prefer using yellow propane rated teflon pipe dope."

Squeeze tube.

I emailed you some pics, maybe you can post.

Thanks for this tip: is there a reason that you prefer the squeeze tube, to the tape?

The quality of teflon tape these days is pathetic! These are small fittings and the squeeze tube makes this VERY easy to apply. I have had ZERO leaks using this RATED product on many fittings. I use this on many other pipe fillings besides GAS.

That is some pretty sound reasoning!

Thanks ryno, but unless I misread, the torjik does nothing for pressure; it's just an adaptor. I have all the fittings and removed the regulator from the grill. The pressure provided at the regulated RV hookup is just too low to power the Coleman. I've got a small fortune in fittings, adaptors, and hoses.

I've seen some notes about adapters that don't allow for full flow of the propane. Could you have one of those?

Is your pressure high enough on the rig then? I would not think that the stove and oven would require atleast the same amount of pressure.

For my grill I tapped right at the bottle connection, before the regulator.
Quick connects on both ends.
Eventually I may drill a hole down through the bottom of the propane compartment to run the hose. But for now I just leave the door open while using the grill then disconnect when done.

Can't be. I had a Coleman pop-up that came with a low pressure grill and stove that connected to a quick disconnect downstream of the regulator. We liked that grill and stove so much we kept them when we bought our first full size TT.

I contacted Coleman and the Road Trip is a 'High' pressure grill, not designed to use onboard, regulated LP. The LP devices in the 5 are low pressure.

Not sure who you talked to but they are wrong. The Coleman Road Trip has a built in regulator.

That's what makes it a "high pressure" grill. It requires high pressure propane to work with the built-in regulator.

A "low pressure" grill requires low pressure regulated propane to work as it has no pressure regulator, only a flow control valve.

In other words: If you can't remove the regulator, you can forget about using the exterior low-pressure propane source on your rig...

hmmm....
I know you think you understand what you thought I said but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant...or was. Propane is high pressure...regulator "converts" it to low pressure so the low pressure grill works as designed...on low pressure. The regulator can be mounted anywhere "upstream" from the grill flow valve (or built in to the grill), but after the supply tank. MH's house tank has a built in regulator at the tank....so...any appliance connected to it..."downstream" from the regulator works on low pressure. The green bottle is high pressure...the built in regulator on your grill converts it to low pressure...before it reaches the control valve. Otherwise...your grill would end up across the campground when you light it...you would too but opposite side of campground from the grill. The regulator CAN BE removed from most portable grills and grill modified to work with the MH external supply port. If the grill regulator is the "push on and twist 45 degrees"...maybe not. Sorry to ramble on so much.

How about this:
Low pressure source, and high pressure grille: disappointing results!
High pressure source, and low pressure grille:

You SHOULD be able to remove it's regulator and use the LOW pressure connection from the RV.

Actually you can. I have a grill that I couldn’t get a low pressure valve/regulator/adapter for. I managed to remove the factory regulator and installed a small ball valve with a quick disconnect on the grill to use as a valve, works great and was cheap/easy to do.

If your grill has a high pressure regulator chances are you might not be able to find a low pressure valve/regulator that will fit.
