Hidden light switch

I have a 2017 MS 36RSSB3. A couple of years ago, I accidentally discovered a switch that turned on a night light on the right side of the top step by the bathroom. I never used it, but now need it, and cannot find the ‘hidden’ switch. Anyone know where it is?

Also, after less than 3 years, and very little use, the kitchen sink broke away from the bottom of the island. I called in a mobile RV service for the repair. DRV had put a splotch of cheap glue at various places around the sink, but not a complete bead/seal of quality glue. $352 repair; just a word word of warning for preparedness.

Clev, sorry about your sink. Have you tried calling DRV to see what IF anything can be done to make you whole" on the sink drop?

I'm not sure about your model but on our '15 38RSSA the light switch for the steps is right in the power center where the slide out switches and the other controls are located. Ours is actually a "red" rocker switch which glows when the step light is on. We use our step light EVERY night!

Hope this helps.

Dan

Dapper, is that the Red Rocker switch labeled ‘Step Light’? LOL! Thank you, I forgot that it was in there.

No, I just had the repair completed on Saturday and today is a holiday. I’ll attempt contact tomorrow.

Since I have same model Dan has, my Step Switch is in same place--rocker next to water pump switch. Sorry about your sink, mine is still holding in place. However, the drain pipe kept falling out no matter how tight I got it--finally realized they used a straight piece of pipe and not a tailpiece with the flange. Never an end to the ways DRV can screw up a beautiful piece of equipment....

That step light is on my list for repairs. Even in total darkness it is barely visible.

On our trailer the over the door light (very bright LED) is also tied in to the outside step light. I re-wired those lights so that the outside and inside step lights are switched and the over door light is seperate.

My Oct 2015 built MS has step light that is bright incandescent bulb that requires a China made replacement so maybe DRV made an improvement that doesn't work. My over the door light is also incandescent. Infact I believe I have 6 or 8 incandescent lamps total with nearly 50 LED (of course being built in the fall of 2015 a large portion of the LED are the 3 inch with high failure rate)

Re: Kitchen sink

I contacted Gregg Weldon, DRV Warranty, and nicely explained the situation, and about being out of warranty. I explained that it was not a warranty issue, but a factory problem, and that the installer should be identified and retrained. I didn’t receive an answer and contacted him again about a week later. He asked for my paid receipt, which I provided. Again, about a week, and no reply, so I sent a short email: ”Status please”. He replied that the refund check was being processed. I received a check for $352 yesterday. What a great company .

"What a great company"

Unfortunately NOT always the case.
