I have four batteries and a 3000 watt inverter that I use for my residential refrigerator and a extra freezer. Trouble is, it doesn't have a automatic transfer switch. I have to manually connect and disconnect every time we move. I don't know anything about transfer switches, can some one point me in the right direction? Cross RV in Indiana installed my residential refrigerator this summer and I thought he was going to install a transfer switch but didn't. I guess my inverter is old and doesn't have an transfer switch, IDK.

We just did 10 days of boondocking at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta- and survived. Residential Refrigerator, 1000 watt inverter, 2 6 volt batteries. During the day we utilized a Zamp 160 watt portable solar panel, when the sun went down, we charged with a 2000 watt Yamaha portable generator for about 2 hours. At night before going to bed, we shut off the Inverter.
