Sounds like you had success in the time they said it would take!

Text me the pics and I will post them for you.

NC,
That is very impressive, so nice to hear some good news on repairs.
Where is the LCI tech based, or how did that happen to come about? Is he an actual LCI employee, or factory-trained?

The Tech is an LCI service technician that knows hydraulics like the back of his hand.. Having been on FB and posted in other forums, quiet a few people know him and are impressed with his skill.. He has a good reputation. I don't know where he works out of, but after he did the job on my 5er, he was off to another job.. His name is Ron McCoy, I was talking to Greg Weldon with DRV and he knew the guy and said that Ron was very good ... I'm impressed with his work and time will tell if it's a long term fix.. Front jacks are an entirely different configuration than what was on my unit before... it even eliminated the front landing gear solenoid and manifold.. I'm impressed with the job that was done... had to weld some brackets and his welding is also very good. I'm feeling better about the job done by Ron.

Thanks for the update Jim, sounds like you're back in business! I just wish Lippert would "own" the problems everybody else is having..... looking at other forums DRVs aren't the only ones with jack problems, there's a lot more people with troubles like yours and mine. Good luck, time will tell, hopefully this story has a happy ending.

Happy travels.

Dan

NCHauler,
I would like to ask a favor of you--if you have the contact info for Ron McCoy, would you mind asking him if you could publish that info on this forum?
There are many of us that would love to know how to get in touch with someone who knows what he is doing, and can repair these hydraulic problems without traveling to Indiana or somewhere else--people like him are priceless to know.
I place myself in the situation of someone who most likely will have to have some help in the future on this type problem, based on the number of people who post about it.
Thanks for any help, and sincerely hope your jack problems are history.
Joe

Thanks for posting the pictures Ron, that's way different than the way my rams look. Of course I have a 2015 RSSA, they changed the style of rams sometime in between Jim's production date and mine.

You are welcome!

Mine look much different also. Most likely like yours and Jim's old ones.

I will be having my Machinist friend rebuild mine this Summer with QUALITY parts and try to get rid of the lateral slop between the sleeve inside ram.

Thanks for posting my pics Ron.. yeah, completely different set up... even removed solenoid that was on seperate manifold for front Rams... gone. The new ones appear to have about a 24" stroke, give or take a tad,, I had more than enough to lift and unhook. They seem very robust. Will keep an eye them and follow up... slides worked great also

NC,
Do you have the contact info for McCoy? My driver side front jack came down overnight while still hitched up...

I contacted Lippert and "lucked out" and got Ron McCoy.. You can give his number a shot. His cell is 573-999-0770. Lippert set me up with him as far as place and time.. He did the entire job in less than a day and a half!!. Worse case, call Lippert and request him
Email is. mccoy@lci1.com

Thank you, much appreciated.
Have only had this '15 since Feb and just are 6 weeks into full-time. Sure was hoping the glitch didn't affect this unit...

Jim,
Email came back as undeliverable using cut/paste. I will try his number if the jack comes down again.
Thanks,
Joe

Don't wait too long. Last March they told me my "14" was too old. If the jack dropped once it won't fix itself permanently. Be sure to have something underneath when unhitching. You don't want to have the underbelly redone along with the jacks.

When my front jacks failed, the front dropped all the way down, BUT, did not hit the ground. Was still about 3" off the ground.. No damage to the underbelly or my generators exhaust pipe.. This was my experience on my 2016' 36 RSSB3.
