MyDakotaAddress Is CLOSING

If you are a full timer and use Teri Lund, MyDakotaAddress as your mailing service you will want to reach out to them ASAP and have your mail sent to you. As they are closing there doors in a mater of days. So sad as Teri has been so helpful in the transition from stick and bricks to going full time. I’m looking into a coil,e of different mailing services and will post my findings and who I choose and why.

I never heard of Dakota Post. Actually, never heard of the one that is closing either! We may have to figure something out as well, but when we full timed in 2000-'06, we did not do a mail service. We did everything online. We did have a Montana LLC and when we needed something mailed to us, we used the RV park we were in or heading to. Worked okay for us, but we aren't everybody either!
We will use Florida as our domicile since we already have license and insurance here now and the laws of Florida seem to work the best for us.

We use DakotaPost. When we registered, they were the preferred partner of FMCA but FMCA now has a deal with a new company, Americas Mailbox. From our research, they are all pretty similar. We like that we can get our important stuff scanned and downloaded quickly as well as see what comes through their virtual mailbox. They also have a basic mail forwarding service that just sends your mail to an address on a schedule.

She replied to my email requesting she pick up all my tabs and sent them along with my mail. She responded this am. I did call Lake county and paid for my tabs and they are sending out to my current address right away.

They will just need your plate numbers and credit card information.

I did not get this email but have seen it on line. I did get ahold of her and she wrapped up everything in our mailbox and was going to ship it.
I am going to go with Escapees mail service. The big reason is that I think I can use there address for all of my financial accounts. I could not before because of the “Patriot Act”. I will confirm this once it is done. Plus I get Escapees deals on many things to boot.

I just learned the post office is NOT returning any mail that has not arrived here yet. They are implementing a forwarding process.
I believe it will be in place next week. Not set up yet today, Saturday the 28th. I would wait until Tuesday the 31st.

Click Get Started
Click Individual – this is a must, don’t click family.
Contact Information
Enter Full name and full 110 E Center St address.
Click next
New Address

I tried to have my mail forwarded but no go as seen below.

Mail addressed to an addressee at commercial mail receiving agency (CMRA) is not forwarded through the USPS. The CMRA customer may make special arrangements for the CMRA operator to re-mail the mail with payment of new postage. A CMRA must accept and re-mail mail to former customers for at least 6 months after termination of the agency relationship. After the 6-month period, the CMRA may refuse mail addressed to a former customer. The Application for Delivery of Mail through Agent (PS Form 1583) requires an addressee and agent to comply with all applicable postal rules and regulations relative to delivery of mail through an agent. For more information on mail forwarding regulations, contact your local Postmaster.

They are going to try and have it set up next week Ron.
Who are you going with Ron?
I am going to see next week if I can use one of the two address for all of my financials.

Probably going back to my WA address. I already set my new WA address with Lake County Licensing.

I have not gotten a response when I have asked about my current mail being sent to me.
