New Unit Getting Close

Hi There... New to the forum, we have had a Newmar Toy Hauler since 2008. We are about 3 years from retiring and wife was wanting more room for some full time use when we retire. So we ordered a 38RSSB3 back in November. Last week it went to the paint shop for full body paint. We ordered out of Kansas and suppose to be in there around last of the month. We down here in Katy, TX so will be making a trip to Kansas in the middle of winter. Will have to plan the trip during good weather. Will keep posted on our delivery...

Congratulations and welcome to the forum. This forum is just starting to build, so if you have any questions post them up. Is yours a 2016 or 2017 model? I ask because I ordered mine in 12-14 and was one of the first 2016 models.

Ours has arrived here in Lake Havasu (sunshine Rv) and we will be picking it up tomorrow. Hoping our motor home will sell soon.

Thanks for all the welcomes... We ordered on November 1st so I assumed it will be a 2016. Will keep posted as we get information.

You both will so enjoy your new rigs. We have been in our '16 Atlanta for about 10 weeks. It is a wonderful unit and feels so much like home.

Welcome to our world! We are on our 2nd Drv unit and are satisfied. Are they perfect, heck no but pretty darn good. We fulltimed for 5 years in our 2007 Select Suite and have been fulltime for 4 years in our 2012 Mobile Suite

I will try-everything went well at Sunshine rv. We drove the coach to our rv site at Havasu Rv Resort (all of 8 miles). I have a few questions for the dealer on how to operate a few items. They are handy. So far so good. I will work on the picture thing. Did not mean to jump in to others thread. Bill

Again thanks for all the welcomes.... I read somewhere someone has come up with a unit checkout sheet to use in taking delivery. Does anyone have a copy of this? I would be interested in this if it was available...

There's a pretty handy app for that. RV Checklist. It has all kinds of lists.

I have check lists that I've shared before. They really aren't my own but some that were sent to me via e-mail from someone else, who likely got them from yet someone else. I'll attach them to this comment, but if you don't see them, contact me via private message and give me your e-mail and I'll send them to you.

Two of those lists are identical, but one is a Microsoft Word document while the other is a pdf file. The third is another Microsoft Word document.

We got word yesterday that our new unit was at the dealer in Kansas. Hopefully they will have it ready by next Thursday. We are planning to head to Kansas on Wednesday and take delivery on Thursday. We are excited and need to finish cleaning out our Toy Hauler this weekend so it is ready for the trade in.. Will keep posted...

We picked up the new unit last Thursday in Chanute, KS. Did a walk through and really did not find anything that needed attention. They had did a pretty good checkout prior to us arriving. The good thing we had great weather for the trip from Katy, TX. We went over to Wichita, KS for a couple of days to visit wife's sister. We are very happy so far and learning alot with all the bells and whistles. I will adding some solar panels here when the weather warms up. One thing for sure, we have a lot more real estate than with the Toy Hauler. I will miss the garage but will be very happy with the extra living area. Will post as we add things.
