I can tell you on the 38RSSA, they assume FULL capacity on the axles (16K) and given a 21K GVWR, they have a 5K pin weight which is 23.8% of the GVWR. They don't believe in margins there...
On ours, the silver sticker on the pin is the GVWR of the entire trailer including contents. DRV should know what that number is on the Full House model you are looking at. There should be several of us in Hutch this year with a 38RSSA (if California Dreamers can get theirs built) that you could take a look at and see some of the options and changes that can be made.
By the way, if you had bought a mighty Ram instead of that weakling you have, it would have leaped across the Smokies with a single blip of the throttle, climbed tall buildings with a belch of black smoke and slayed all who laughed at its power....
