The metal is raised up but is it moving separately from the roof? That is how there could be wear. It's an all depends situation!!!

We shouldn't have to even be talking about this!!!

The guy in the video is a good salesman for things that don't need to be done for really high prices. Never once stated what the problem was that required the removal of the original roof. Masking tape? So what. All it was for was to smooth the edges under the rubber. Was not for structural or load of any kind. Pitch pockets and roof curbs? Totally unnecessary and a waste of money.

Ron,
Completely agree shouldn't happen. But any time there is a metal edge against a soft surface, along with vibration, well, I expect a wear-thru at some point.

The video upsells the service they provide,
BUT,
Would it hurt DRV to use a couple of screws to secure the metal radius a little better? 1 screw every 24 inches or so would hold everything down. Then put a piece of tape over the screw head to help rub thru. With the RV moving at highway speeds, I would expect the membrane to vibrate in the small areas it's loose creating wear at the edges.
Marine boat building days.... Making Fountain Power Boats go 175 MPH.. The low pressure created by a lip in the surface or material will create a low pressure on the low side- low point and will let the material move.
This is one reason why I am so pissed about the leaks and rotten slide floor and roof. It's not rocket science to prevent leaks. But it does take an employee willing to work 1 minute longer...

That has always been my thought. They would save WAY more money paying it upfront by going a little slower vs paying a tech a week per unit to correct issues. But then again, I do not have a business degree.
