I think that you should contact HHTSA, and ask them why Thor/DRV isn't complying with the recall...
Good luck!

(And welcome to the Forum! )

As I read post, I was wondering what is the period time of this problem? Is my unit which was built in Oct 2015 included.
I did a search and found the Recall notice goes back to 2012.

IOTA model ITS-50r Transfer Switch recall

I do know transfer switch is buried behind all the Furnace Duct, some electrical cables and gas line so I would have to rely on DRV model & S/n supplied.

So, being ignorant of what transfer switch is inside my '15 38RSSA--is it an IOTA ITS-50R? Or some other brand?
Thanks,
Joe

I would have to think if the manufacture who made this switch said that there was or could be a defect on a part made between certain dates. It should not mater what RV builder used the part. Kinda like the toccata airbag recalls, they span many year make and model.

no thats not correct i ask that question to the NHTSA They said it is up to each manufacture to tell what units has those in them. and there is the problem they do not know what units they put them in and what unit have some different.

toccata airbag recalls they know what car has them in them.

Yes back then but my problem is now and both side are saying its not their problem and no recall on your unit so there no problem.

It should be easy enough to have your Dealer (or any other Dealer as well!); ascertain what you've got in the rig...

after all this this my last DRV/Thor units. And what sad my wife Friday before this happen talk me into looking at buy a new 2018 DRV. No more they lost a customer for life.. I am only 55 there was to be a lot of DRV in my future but no longer. So Far the repair and replacement is around $1600 that they said no to and would not give me a time of day or listen to when I was pleading my case. So I repair ever thing and done with DRV and THOR product. There are other manufacturers that want my money. my 2012 drv unit will be my last one.
