While you're in there; you might as well grab all of the ice cream... just in case!

Good Luck!

No power to fridge when not on shore power or generator.

Sounds like you have a residential refrigerator. If so it needs 120volts. That is what the invertor does. You say it's in alarm. What kind? Is your coach batteries charged?
We all need more info to help.

Don't know much about fivers but sounds like the low voltage battery alarm is going off. That generally happens when the available voltage to and through your inverter is less than 11.8 volts. Ours will show an E-2 error (I think). What could be happening is when your are on shore/gen power, your on board batteries are not getting or are not holding a charge. With our converter/charger, it is 3 stage. Initial recharges at 14.2, then drops to 13.6 then to 13.2 volts. In any case, good luck but this should be a good start.

Fairly certain that it is the batteries are failing to hold a charge. Whether it is E-2 or E3, it is still a low voltage alarm. The inverter then kicks off and won't send power to your refrigerator. Again, either your not charging or your batteries are toast. Get a hydrometer and check the status of your batteries. I am almost certain your batteries are fried.

Wow they are new batteries, and voltage hasn't dropped.

Are you seeing the error message on the fridge itself? Do you have an ME-RC Magnum remote? If so, you should be able to see what is going on with the inverter. I have the 2800 and you can do a soft reboot on it if that is the problem. With new batteries, something else is going on.

Are you hitting the inverter button to on in the coat closet? I turn mine on when unhooked and then turn it off when connected to shore power. It does not automatically switch over.

When I'm plugged into shore power, the fridge seems to only work on DC. Am i killing my batteries?

Thor shows you have a -Single Door Gas/Electric/LP. RV Refrigerator. If so, you need 12 volts DC and the propane turned on if no shore power. The frig can be set to auto and will use propane or 120 volts for the heater in the frig to work, but you still need 12 volts to power the frig's circuit board. This 12 volt power usually comes through the propane director circuit. If you have shore power, select auto on the frig and everything should work. The converter should recharge the batteries, assuming the store/use switch is in the use position. If shore power is not available, it is best to use propane but you can start the generator to supply 120 volts to the frig heater. The auto selection on the frig will always select 120 volts if you have shore power and defer to propane when you do not.
