Toilet valve

Just a heads up. You may want to use a mirror to check the valve behind your toilet. My Dometic 320 toilet valve started leaking. I believe it leaked because there was only one screw holding it firmly, allowing the valve to cock. In the picture below, the red circle shows where the one screw was. When I replaced the valve, I installed two screws. One in the green circle and one in the red circle. Check to make sure that you have two screws.

Right after we moved into ours we came home to water all over the bathroom floor and down the hall. The supply line was cross threaded and barely connected. Turned water off and unscrewed and screwed back on PROPERLY and no leak since.

Looks like the same incompetent person that caused my water leak was too LAZY to install the second screw. I guess I am too picky!

Interesting to see that is was just not mine. Shame that you are not close, as I have an extra screw that you could have.

Looks like a #8 x 1/4" hex drive, how long is the screw?

Look at the pic you posted there is a tab that tucks into the toilet so I would guess they "thought" they could get away with a 1/2 AZZ installation. Kinds like using 1/2" long sheet metal screws to hold door hinges in place.

I guess I am just "picky".

Well great, I was just behind our toilet the other day blocking off the heater return air vent and could have checked ours. Guess I have a project for the weekend checking to see if our valve has both screws in it. I am wondering if I can get to ours without pulling the toilet......

You do not need to pull the toilet. Use a mirror to look for them to take a pic and look at the photo.

Yes it took a 1/4 socket. Here is a pic of the screw.

Hey there buddy. I think that Dometic installed this valve and just shipped the toilet assembly to DRV. But those little black screws for the doors were a joke. I keep a handful of the replacement screws on hand.

I just checked ours and only one screw holding the valve. Guess I will be headed to Lowes tomorrow to try and find a screw that will work.

May be worth looking at the blowup that shows all the toilet pcs. Do they show one or two screws?

I found the three links below that do show two screws on replacement valves. Guess I will see if Lowes has a 3/4" #8 X 1/4 hex drive screw to add the second one.
