Tire Pressures
I have a 38' Elite Suites. Have recently installed tire pressure sensors (EEZ RV Products T515 System. The tire pressures are running in the 130 to 132 psi range when traveling down the highway. Highway speed 65 mph. Outside temperature 85 degrees.
Cold tire pressure is set at 110 psi per recommendation from Goodyear.
The tires are Goodyear G114. 215/75R17.5, load rating H, 16 ply.
The trailer has been weighed using the smart weigh system:
Trailer weight 14,950 lbs
pin weight on truck 3,640 lbs
Total weight for trailer - 18,950 lbs
LF - 3,750 lbs RF - 3,050 lbs Total weight on front wheels - 6,800 lbs
LR - 4,150 lbs RR - 4,000 lbs Total weight on rear weheels - 8,150 lbs
Do the tire pressures that I am seeing appear too high? The tires are rated at 125 psi maximum. The tire sensors readouts appear to be accurate when tested against my tire gauge.

I believe that would be entirely normal. Your 125 PSI rating would be cold pressure.

Seems right to me. My tires are at about 85psi cold and typically go over 100 in use on hot days. I have the alert set for 108. I wouldn’t worry about it. Especially if they all are doing about the same thing.

Your cold pressure to warm pressure is a 20-22 pound rise which I carry 125 PSIG cold and see over 25 pound rise on hotter day with sun shining on them resulting 151-152 PSIG. I have had no problem
I would like to welcome you to the forum
Looking at your front axle weight versus rear axle weight, you have the front of the RV high or you loaded the back of the RV to reduce pin weight. You may plan to reduce the rear axle weight in the future. Then the type pickup you are using to pull may require the height of the PIN that you are set .

Pin weight seems low for an Elite option.
What is the GVWR on the Suites? What year is it?
For myself, I would be running 120-125 cold all the time, but if GY says ok, then?

Welcome to the forum.
Looks like about what our trailer weighed dry mostly empty, on the way home from picking it up.
I'm wondering if you're a little nose / pin high though ?
I typically run the 120-125 psi cold also. Tires are designed for the warm up and increase in running pressure. Resist any urge to release air. Raise the upper alarm setting if needed.

I run 125 cold and regularly see150-152 when traveling.
And I’m surprised at the pin weight I have, just over 4000. And besides all the stuff we loaded, I have a diesel generator and fuel tank.

I also agree that they are nose high based on the weights they provided. The rears are 1000 lbs heavier then the RF. The LF should be heavier because of the fridge.
I wounder what the TV is.

YES very nose high as in it does NOT have risers. I was over 1,000# heavier on my rear axles before adding the 3" risers at MORryde.
My Pin is around 5,700#,

2” riser and it sits level.
No individual axle weights, CAT scale weights.

Something does not seem right then with the big difference in weights. I would suggest a Cat scales weigh or simply hit an empty highway scales.

Thanks so much for the info on the tire pressure situation.
Why do some of you run cold tire pressure at 125 psi?
Some of you think the pin weight is low at 3610 lbs. Why?
Some of you commented the trailer may be high on the truck. What measurement should I use to determine this? It does not appear to be that nose high when hooked up to the truck.
The truck is a 2015 F450 Ford DRW. 4 wheel drive. Diesel engine.
Truck tires are: Continental HSR 22570R19.5
Tire pressures cold - 90 psi front and 80 psi rear.
Hot tire pressure is 105 psi front and 95 psi rear.
Pickup truck weights (using Smart weigh system)
Without trailer - Total weight 10,130 lbs
LF 2,750 RF 2,680 Total weight on front - 5,430
LR 2,400 RR 2,300 Total weight on rear - 4,700
With trailer - Total weight 13,770 lbs
LF 2,650 RF 2,610 Total weight on front - 5,260
LR 4,260 RR 4,250 Total weight on rear - 8,510
Pin weight - 3,640
Truck weight with trailer - 13,770 minus truck weight without trailer 10,130
The trailer is a 2012 DRV Elite Suites
Model 38RSSB3
GVWR 20,000 lbs
GAWR front - 8,000 lbs
GAWR rear - 8,000 lbs
Trailer Suspension system is a Trailair Center Point
Trailer axles are 8,000 Lippert
Trailer pin box - Trailair Tri-Glide air pin
Trailer hitch - B&W Companion - 20,000 lb capacity
Actual trailer weights using the Smart Weigh System

If you have not weighed your rig, DRV has it plated at 125 psi.
We think it is low because you have an Elite. Maybe 4 years make a BIG difference in weights.
