2019 Axis 24.1 Happy New Owner

After 20 years of bumper end trailering (pop-up to 29RKS), this unit fits so well for us. Josie wants to help with driving; as we both enter retirement. She was comfortable when helping her parents drive their 26' Class C, so this is IT! I am so lazy that I wanted a push button for everything (awning, jacks, etc.) and our new Axis doesn't disappoint. Love everything about it. ALL - Pro's. NO - Con's.

Welcome to the forum and hope you continue to love your Axis. We have owned both a Vegas and an Axis and have over 55,000 miles traveling in them - including one four month trip to Alaska and back (from South Florida). It has been perfect for us.

Thank you! The "road endurance" (RE: Alaska/FL trip) was one of my "wondering" thoughts. The Ford chassis/power plant a given; the durability of the Class A shell came to mind; seams, trims, frames, misc. Under the hood: other than oil and washer fluid; anything else to keep an eye on? I'm a tire pressure guy, so those stay under my watchful eye. Appreciate any tips. Thank you!

Yes. TPMS is a must in my book. I don’t know why all RVs do not come with one. Thor quality control is not the best (being kind) so if you follow this forum, there are lots of things to check - especially electrical issues. Have you downloaded Ed Felker’s manual? That will give you an excellent start and is the bible for us Axis and Vegas owners. When I got my new Axis home, I opened every access door, and checked every electrical and water connection that I could find and sealed and tightened them. I missed the seal on my furnace door (part was missing) and it cost me a new furnace.

Welcome to the forum!

We have about 30K on our Vegas, and 300+ nights in it. It has served us well so far. After you have digested Ed Felker's excellent crowd-sourced manual for Vegas/Axis, bring your questions here. Here's the link:

Happy trails!

Welcome to the Axis family ! We bought our 24.1 new January 2016. We have had the Ford Triton in previous motorhomes and love it. The more you drive this motorhome the more you like it ! There are many folks, including us, who have done mods and we all have shared them. Your newer model Axis has some awesome improvements over ours.

HAPPY CAMPING and be sure to keep us all posted.
