Excited Newbie RVers

Hello from Northern California. My wife and are picking up our (new to us) 2014 Thor Outlaw 37LS this weekend. We have been wanting to get into RVing and finally jumped into the deep waters. My name is Eric and hers is Gretchen, aka: E and G. I'm an information geek and have been scouring the internet trying to get my head around what lies ahead. G is the fun lover of the two and all she wants to do is go exploring. Between the two of us, we are really excited to be a part of the RV community. I look forward to scouring the forums for bits of knowledge to help us ease the transition from newbies to 'experienced' travelers.

PS: I'm new to this forum, but am an experienced forum user as I have two (Harley) motorcycles and a Dodge Ram. Long time member of forums for those vehicles. I look forward to learning more about the RV.

Thanks in advance for helping.

Congrats and welcome. Always nice to hear from excited new RVers. Enjoy the experience, we continue to enjoy almost to the point of loving this rving life. We have found all sorts of ways to enjoy our coach both together with our family and just the two of us. Come back often to both ask and then to share. It's the best way to expand our collective knowledge base.

Again - welcome.

It sounds as if you've got the right toys, to fill your garage!
Welcome to our little corner of the sandbox!

How about some pictures of your rig, and your bikes?

Congrats and welcome to the funny farm, er, I mean forum! I am a recently retired IT guy and my wife is the kind who can't sit still, so it sounds like we may have something in common. As the others have said, feel free to share and to ask any questions you may have... chances are it has happened to somebody else already!

Bob, Thanks! We pick the rig up this weekend, after that I'll post a couple pics of it. Below are some pics of the Bikes.

Bob, as requested.

Here are a couple pics of the bikes. 2010 Dyna Fatbob (Red one) and a 2008 Nightrod Special (Both bikes totally customized by me). The Fatbob has a different seat so I can bring Gretchen. It also has saddle bags that go on in 5 minutes. It's the bike that Gretchen and I use for our runabouts.

Cheers,
Eric

Welcome to the forum and welcome to the world of RVing. Nice looking bikes, we will be looking forward to a pic of the Outlaw as well. Toss in a pic of the Ram also. I have been a RAM Cummins fan for years.

Ha! No G doesn't pilot one. We've talked about that, however, she would make me a nervous wreck. Plus, I've been riding since a teen. I don't want to have to slow down for her..
