First time RV owners Jim and Barbara

Hello. We purchased a 2017 Thor Synergy in February and have not taken it on the road once. Anyone else have a Synergy? I will be the driver (Barbara) and Jim will be the navigator---if we ever get on the road!!! I'm quite sure I will have many questions. First of all--the dream dinette--does anyone know how to make the cushions fit for the bed??

Welcome from SW Florida! Some pretty good information and general tips on here. I'm sure someone will be along that has your model to answer you question.

Ours is a 2016 Thor Synergy TT24 with the theater seating option. It was quite an adjustment from a 40 ft. 5th wheel with five slides but we have adjusted... and realized that we didn't need all of that other stuff.

I hope you get out soon and enjoy your motorhome because we have a big and beautiful country to explore😊

Welcome to the forum!
Our "toys" are really expensive per use if we don't take them out very often.

Pick a local RV park or State park and take your rig out, even if it is just one night. You don't have to travel a long distance to get away. Campgrounds are like another world, and you'll meet friendly folks from all over.

Thor has a video on YouTube that might answer your question about the dream dinette:

Yay! Another Synergy

Cap'n Sunshine is right on. A little trip to a local park is great.
Even just doing an overnight in your driveway will help you get to know your rig.
We have a little Synergy Facebook page you are welcome to join. So far just 20 members, but many are in Florida. Someday we can have our own Synergy/Siesta camp-o-rama. Welcome to the fold!

Down on My Knees

OK am I the only one wondering why Thor has been putting the microwave/convection oven under the counter? You have to get on your knees to use it. I talked to the dealer and they said they would move it up above the counter for about $225 plus material. I'm betting "material" will include some new cabinetry above because the present cabinet up above is not the same size as the microwave/convection oven. Hummm. This could get expensive real quick. I'm picking up this coach of the 19th. Anybody got any low or no cost ideas?

Welcome to the forum! We bought our Siesta Sprinter (sister to Synergy ) in March. Hope you will enjoy it lots! This forum is a great source of information.

We didn't think much about the location of the microwave /convection oven until we started using it. Yes, it is impossible to see the menu or monitor the food as it cooks without getting down on your knees! Not convenient at all, but a lot of the motorhomes we looked at had this configuration.

I wondered the same thing when I saw the microwave under the counter. The DW is height-challenged so it's not a problem for her bit it certainly is fo me. I'm not going to mess with it until it gives up the ghost and even then probably won't relocate it either. One thing I would like to have as an exhaust fan over the cook top. The smoke alarm is over the coach door and if there is any smoke from frying or from using the toaster you certainly know about it.

You know I wondered that too for awhile until I saw it enough to be sure what it was. Depending on the writer it's eiether dear wife or damned wife. But naturally everyone here uses it as DEAR WIFE a term of endearment.

Yes, DW is dear wife. I also learned a long time ago that the two most important words in a marriage are............

..... Yes Dear😉
