Thor Vegas 25.2 looks interesting

HI all,
I am new to RVing. But as retirement draws near, my plans are to buy an RV and travel around the US and find where is comfortable. I am single and active. I plan on accepting contract work around the US for several years after retirement and use my RV to spend a half a year in different parts of our great country.

So far, the Thor Vegas 25.2 looks like a good selection for me. The main reason I joined this forum was to get opinions and feedback on that RUV.

Thanks In Advance,
gerry

I can't comment on the 25.2 specifically but I can comment on the Axis/Vegas line since we have a 24.1.

They are well thought out units with minimal issues (for a Thor) so far. There have been reports of: Cracked windshields, bad fuel pumps in the generator (mine had this), bad windshield washer motors (mine also had this), lack of insulation under the dash, mud-flaps hitting the exhaust pipe melting the mud flaps, and other smaller stuff (I'm sure more will add to the list).

We like ours and try to get out in it as much as possible.

I believe there are a couple of 25.2 owners on here.

Welcome Gerry!
I'll share our reasons for choosing the Vegas 25.2, but must say first that it's different strokes for different folks, We've had ours for just a couple of weeks and about a thousand miles, but put a lot of thought into replacing our last coach, a Class A. So far, we are delighted.
I really wanted a smaller coach, like a Travato or a class C, but they all had too many sacrifices for us. 2 friends bought new class 'Cs with corner beds. One of them asked me on the day they brought it home, "How do you make this corner bed?" They hadn't considered making the bed, or crawling over their partner to get in and out. We wouldn't have purchased a Vegas model without the walk around queen.
We needed more storage, in and out, than anything less afforded us. The Vegas has an attractive price point, especially if you can deal with an RV dealer in Indiana or a surrounding state, and diy the delivery.
We also liked that we could tow our small car with the Vegas, something too much to ask of smaller rigs. The front seats swivel, giving you more usable living area. I like having no side slides, so less worry about mechanical issues and leaks. I have experience with diesels, and didn't want to pay the premium for the engine or the fuel.
For us, the Vegas is not too big, not too small. Just right. Easy to drive, easy to park. Ask me in a year if I still am happy. So far, so good!
Happy hunting!
