Hello First timer here from Michigan

we are finally getting ready to hit our first road trip to Pigeon Forge this May, and lots of spots in Michigan, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron Ect. Got us a 2016 Thor Four Winds 31L. , Searching about flat towing our Equinox blue ox/ brand also, saw on here about Quadra Bigfoot Levels. Any input on either.

We went there during the winter holiday season. It was very crowded with stop and go traffic clogging their main eight lane road. Learn to take the smaller roads behind all the stores running next to the creek like the locals.

We stayed at the KOA which was a short walking distance through Liberty Park next door to the main strip.

Grocery stores, Drug stores, and strangely enough, Liquor stores (other than the moonshine stores) are scarce on the main strip, so try to stock up on anything you need before heading into the area.

Have fun. It "Hillbilly Vegas" down there.

We use a Blue Ox to tow our Honda CRV. Make sure you carry a rubber mallet to tap on the tension release lever because on ours, one of them always seems to bind when we stop making it impossible to pull out the pins to release the car. Once you relieve the tension everything should disassemble smoothly.

Best of luck to you and enjoy your new coach. Lots of great folks willing to "get their hands dirty" to help all of the community.

Welcome. We tow our 2015 Equinox with the Blue Ox setup and a BrakeBuddy. No problems, don't even know the car is back there, turn on the rear view cam just to check .

Thanks for the info. Curious how much did you flat tow system cost. Did you do it through your rv dealership ?

Honestly I don't remember exactly, caught it on sale at a dealer, but not the one I bought my RV from.
