Hello from Toronto

On a frigid cold day I drove from Toronto to Ottawa to check out a previously enjoyed 2006 (Chevy) Four Winds 5000 international 28a.
This had just been taken in as trade by the dealer. After seeing previous similar motor homes more locally and reading this and other forums I finalized the purchase.
It was hard to perform a thorough inspection due to the cramped conditions and the frigid cold weather (-12c), but I liked what I saw.
The dealer will clean and prep the unit for pickup in mid-March.
As well I opted to pay for a roof conditioning (Probably it was time).
And to add a solar trickle charger on the roof top. To which I plan to expand on at some point.

Thank you to all that have contributed to this forum, and other forums, your experience and advise has been helpful

Sincerely

Peter.

Welcome Danemill. We are thinking of heading to Canada maybe next summer (Saskatchewan) but do not know the quality of the roads. Can you give us an overview. Thanks

Danemill,

Congrats to a fellow Canuck! We hail from the Rock (NFLD) originally, now living in the frigid Ohio valley! Hope you enjoy your new motorhome!

I'm in Ontario. I don't know what the roads will be like in Saskatchewan.
But if anything like Ontario it can be hit a miss with the quality of the roads.
Ours get bad because of the winter and freezing, thawing and salt. Creating large pot holes.
Enjoy your trip. And please let us know how you faired.
