Hi

Thank you for allowing me to join this site.
We have just purchased our new Gemini 23tw. So far we are enjoying it.
However, I accidentally bumped the back end of my armless awning on the side of my storage shed and broke the cast piece that holds the electric motor on the front. I am wondering where I can go to get parts for this awning to repair it?
Or a schematic of the awning and mechanism.

welcome to our Campsite!
What brand awning is it: Carefree?
You could probably contact the manufacturer directly...
Good luck!

Thor uses two major patio awning manufacturers: Carefree of Colorado and Dometic. Look on either end of the awning and the manufacturer's name will be embossed on it or you can look on the inside of the bedroom closet for a list of Thor installed equipment in your motorhome. Both manufactures list installation and maintenance procedures on their respective websites. Amazon list most repair parts for the most popular models but you have to know the series and type of awning you have.

Congrats and welcome.

Your coach should have come with a build list in a closet somewhere. That will tell you the brand (and serial number) of your awning.

If you don't have a build list, log onto Thor's website with your VIN and download the build list (Under Owner Login here: https://www.thormotorcoach.com/owner-resource/ ).

My end plate fell off, I took it back to dealership and they placed a new one.
It should be under warranty.
Good luck.

Welcome aboard and sorry about the awning. Our maiden voyage with our ACE I left the awning up in an overnight downpour without enough pitch front to back. not realizing those pot metal and aluminum arms wouldn't hold up. Water pooled on the awning and the weight broke the arm that has the motor.
It was definitely caused by my lack of knowledge of how my new "improved" electric awning worked, my bad. My dealer contacted the extended warranty company and told them the motor failed and replaced it on warranty. Cost me $100 and a lesson learned. These power retractable awnings are not designed for much more than a sun shade, unlike the old manual Dometic awnings with the long arms that stood up in a monsoon.
