Hi from England
Hello everyone. Yes there are Thor motorhomes in England and late last year my wife and I bought one - a Vegas 24.1 2015 model.
This will be our 5th motorhome but our first US style RV. So far not much chance to use it as I broke my arm putting in the electric hookup some 5 minutes into our first outing!
I know it is small by US standards but it is pretty big for here - especially driving down narrow country roads.
Both children are now at University and we are looking forward to several extended trips, with planning for a tour around Scandinavia already well advanced. My wife and I are both semi-retired. We do private tutoring for the US equivalent of (I think) Advanced placement High School courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. UK exams are in May/June so by the end of May we are FREEEEEEE......
Anyway the systems in the motorhome are all a little different than is normal for Europe so I plan to spend quite a while working out where everything is. Obviously we are quite some way from the manufacturer, although we did buy it from an official Thor dealer here in the UK (the only one!).
Nothing gone wrong so far but only used it the one day. Down to the south coast where it is stored next week for short break.
Regards,
Steve & Gen James.

Welcome!
Hello,
We visit Lincolnshire often as our family originally hailed from the Cliff Villages there. We have an Axis 25.1 and it is similar to what you have. We would love toe hear about your adventures traveling around Europe in your Vegas. Traveling through Europe in a motorhome is one of our dreams. We would like to hear about any experiences you have with the "super pitches" there and in the UK.
Enjoy your travels,
Harold

Welcome.
Steve & Gen, welcome. We love this forum, everyone is great. Having the smaller coach should be great for your roads. We have a ton of wind in our state of Wyoming (60-70 mph gusts), hope you don't? Hope your VEGAS does well for you and you heal, quickly. Safe travels, we will look forward to updates.

Steve and Gen (and any other newbies),
Welcome to the Forum.
Check out the thread (under the Modification heading) listed as Single Best Simple Mods done, lots of good quick ideas there.
Our dogs like the extra room (almost 6 sq. feet) we generated by covering the steps in our Vegas 24.1 with a piece of 22" X 34 1/2" of 5/8" Marine Grade Plywood painted with black Plastic Top textured paint. The board is used when in transit and once settled in for the night. It stores behind the couch when not in use.

Excellent info, thank you for sharing. I wasn't sure of what I could cover it with, but like the textured paint. Keep in touch, thank you, Garry & Tara.
