New guy
Hello from the Black Hills of South Dakota. Just bought a 2016 Thor Challenger 37 LX. Anyone else out there have one? I have two questions:
1. There are 4 LED ceiling lights by the front bathroom that don’t work. I’m guessing there is a switch for them somewhere. But can’t find it.
2. Is there a switch to shut off the LED lights in the awning?

Congrats and welcome!
There are several Challenger owners who can help with question 1. The LED awning light switch is usually by the door as one of a 3 switch group. Ours is unlabeled as well so it doesn't surprise me that yours is hard to find.

Hell and congrats. Look for the switches in the cabinet above the door. I labeled mine in my 37ND. The middle switch is for the awning strip.

Since they've got you on the right track for your light switch questions: I'll just say "Welcome to our Family"!

Challenger engineering issues
I have found (first time out) that the gas fill opening is at such an angle that it is very difficult to put the gas nozzzle in. Also, the rear dump station hole for the sewer hole has the generator exhaust going right under it. I can just bearly get by it. Also, the front dump station hook up has the water hoses right in the way! I can bend them out of the way, but why would they do it to begin with! Is this just my unit or do others have the same issue? Love the rig.

I bought a labeler and different colored tape and since the lettering is biggernow, is easier to see. Oh yeah, got a bunch of those flash lites that look like Vienna sausages and put them all over the RV in the shelf spaces. They were only $1.00 a piece so if I lose a few, no biggy. Sometimes more light is better until you know where everything is.

Yeah, its a good way for the exhaust to burn a hole in the stinky slinky. I don't like the position either but before you attach the slinky, shut the motor off and wait a minute. Maybe do all the other 'camping set up' stuff then attach the slinky.

Regarding the slinky...I never put mine out unless I'm actually using it. The tanks will hold several days or so of "digested meals". I'll break it out when the wife want to take a 30 minute shower but i put it back away. There are lots of creepy crawlers in the sewers of campgrounds that will come up your hose, plus there's a chance of some tripping over it. In your case this would be a good option. Also, its not good practice to leave the valves open while camping...you want fluids to fill the tanks before emptying. Otherwise you'll get poop volcanoes building up in the bottom of a dry tank.

Hi , and welcome. The light switch for the lights in front of the half bath is located above the sofa or theater seats, depending on which you have.
The awning light switch is located by the steps. Should be the inner most switch of the 3.
Hope this helps. [emoji88]

Glad to help. What goes around comes around, and I've learned a ton of stuff from others in here.

What "creepy crawlers" are you talking about in the sewer systems? I always leave the slinky stored like you said until I actually need to dump full tanks. And i Keep valves closed at all times regardless. But this statement has me thinking of some god awful sci-fi potentials. Do you mean roaches or what exactly?

Roaches and rats...and who know what else. Roaches so big they have little wheels instead of feet and their wings are turned up on the ends.

2016 Thor Challenger 37 LX fuel tank filler
Anyone with a Challenger have issues with getting the gas station hose to fit in the fuel tank opening? My opening angle and depth makes it difficult to get the nozzle to fit.
Any solutions?

1959... And it's not on this Planet...
(Hint: roll over the picture, and it's name is a pretty good starting point...)
