Congratulations, we have the same unit only a 2015. We love it. Good size and tons of storage.

Hi Everyone I am currently shopping for a new RV and am down to either a Four Winds or Quantum They seem to be both about the same layout does anyone like one kind over another better? Also I would prefer to get a 26 ft with the back slide but have not seen one in either model do you know if they exist? Is new 2017 better or is it better to buy a little older like 2014-2016 I have been told the new ones always have problems that requires service. Thanks for any help.

We purchased a 2017 Quantum RS26 back in April...

and we love it! The coach has beautiful cabinetry and leather on all seating and with the rear slide for the queen bed it provides all the room we need for 2. We use it for travel as a mobile motel room and don't stay in one place very long and find the size doesn't restrict us very much when driving the backroads of the Blue Ridge and Smokey Mountains.

We had a diesel Itasca Navion that got great mileage but we had to set up and break down the bed every day so the Quantum has made our travels much easier at night. While I miss the mileage of the Navion I love the layout of the Quantum!

Congratulations! Hope you enjoy yours as much as we have enjoyed ours.

We have a 2005 28A. Don't assume that yours is 28' overall just because it is called a 28xxx. When I measure ours it is about 31' overall, The coach part is about 28'.

AzDesert119;
Welcome to the forum. Looking at the Thor website, I see that there are some choices in that size and configuration. FourWinds/Chateau have a 24F and a 26B that have the rear slide that has the queen sized bed that is in the rear slide. In the Quantum line, the GR22 and the RS26 both have the bed in the rear slide. Best thing to do is to find a dealer that has the floor plan that you would like to see and go actually put yourself in the coach.
When we were looking, the rear bed in the smaller units than ours (28Z), looked promising, but upon actually sitting, laying and trying to imagine how we would use the coach, we found those previously "good" floorplans didn't work for us. IMHO nothing beats getting in the prospective unit.
Enjoy your search and check back and let us know what you find.

Congratulations on your new coach!!! New or used, doesn't make any difference as long as you enjoy your coach, and I sincerely hope you do! Lots of experienced RVers on this forum to get information from, very nice and helpful people!!!
