Hi, just checking in first time. Deb and I own a Thor Palazzo 34.4. As with most new equipment we've had a few issues, but no show stoppers so far. I'll try to ad a few of them which seem to be common and our solutions in case they can be of assistance to others.

We just sold our home in one day, and hence are in Thor until May while Deb finishes her last semester of college and then we move. So we are wintering in Thor, but not in Arizona -- in Idaho. Had our first snow already last weekend.

We've gone through winterization in a big way, and it looks like it's going to be at least tolerable -- cozy but tolerable. We also have two schnauzers, Ruger and Sig (4yo and 1yo). Hardest part is they have to be on leash every time they go out -- no open the slider and let them run. Looking forward to reading some of the input. First was on broken door locks which we experienced the nite prior to moving from home to the RV Park. VR, Deb and Mags

Welcome, and congrats on your new rig!

I feel for you, having to live in that cold. I'm in So. California and a cold day for us is anything in the low 60s-high 50s.

As far as staying cozy in your rig, I think your biggest challenge will be condensation. And I have absolutely no idea how to combat it while living there. Hopefully someone with experience in cold climates will chime in and offer some suggestions.

Congratulations on your new coach and welcome to the forum!!! You may want to invest in a couple of ceramic electric heaters and have plumbing installed for an outside propane tank. Also heated water hose or heat tape with foam insulation around the hose. When I lived full time in our Tuscany I had a 40 gallon tank on a dolly I could roll over to have filled, much easier than moving the coach each time. External tank hose will need to be plumbed in ahead of the regulator, fairly simple to do using Extend-a-stay fittings.
