Thor Siesta 26BE

Hi,
I just purchased a used 2008 Four Winds Siesta 26BE on a Chevy Workhorse chassis. I replaced a 31 foot 1996 Winnebago Winnie Winnie DL.
I was also concerned with the Siesta’s limited storage. I had mass storage inside and outside with the Winnebago, and was not sure where I was going to put everything I had grown used to having along with me. I had lots of large drawers and cupboards in the Winnie. In the Siesta, I am storing all of the dishes, pots, pans and appliances in the bank of cupboards above the sofa. Paper plates, cups and plastic forks and knives are stored above the refrigerator, and I have my cups, cocktail, and wine glasses in the cupboard above the exit door. I bought Rubbermaid shelf stackers to give me two levels of storage for items in the cupboards above the sink and stove that I am using for food storage. I also bought Rubbermaid stackable storage baskets for storing my wooden spoons, knives, pancake turners, etc. Under the queen bed, I was able to store 3 folding Coleman chairs, a folding table and a folding sports chair. Bedding is stored in the drawer in the hide-a-bed sofa. Of course there is lots of storage for the rest in the bedroom wardrobe closets and drawers. It has been actually kinda fun to figure out where to put everything!
I am taking a shake-down camping trip this weekend at Deception State Park in Washington State.
I hope you enjoy your new Four Winds Siesta!
Rick

Welcome, the Siesta was a unit we really looked at hard. The extra storage and seating of the 28Z finally won out. Enjoy and don't be a stranger.
