New RV’er

3 week owner of a 17 sprinter citation 24SR with 5700 miles some short trips and all is well. I didn’t get a sticker list of equipment though. Want to verify, tank heaters, inverter type (where the heck is it). Would love to get structural diagrams, who at Thor can assist with these issues for me.

So far: installed WeBoost otr cell booster. Plan on WIFI ranger. TPMS. Waiting on tow bar and brake install.

Any suggestions on solar? Not a lot of room on roof but was thinking of removing the LP Onan and stacking some batteries for off grid juice.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum!

Call Thor and ask for all the available schematics for your coach. You should get plumbing, 110v and 12v, at least. They should be able to send you a build sheet, too.

There weren't many options available for Vegas/Axis and Citation/Chateau.

Welcome to the Party!
I agree with the idea of calling Thor. After all: they did build it for you!

Thor has a customer service number.
877-855-2867
8-5 M-F Eastern. 24/7 for emergencies.
I called this number and got all the schematics etc. that they had. Emailed to me while I was on the phone.

Hmm... Might want to rethink jettisoning the Onan..those batteries gotta get charged one way or another and you cannot run the A/C on batteries..

Congrats and welcome to the forum! I agree with saddlesore… maybe you should look to use a storage compartment for additional batteries instead of ditching the generator.

I contacted Thor and they directed me to:

warrantysupport@tmcrv.com, just needed to include the vin & serial number.

They provided all the schematics is 15 minutes. Great service. Thanks all.

That is the thought. hate to use up any storage space. Hesitate on the wiring up all this though. More research needed for this project.

To get enough juice to run things and not need the genny you'd need quite a few Ah in the batteries. Lead-acid would be far too heavy and Li-Ion would be far too expensive. Better to keep the genny; or buy a Tesla and tear it down.

...Or cover a major portion of the bodywork with solar panels, and add a SERIOUS alternator to the front of the rig!

You'd still need a bunch of batteries to store up all that solar so that should be and.
