I don't know about the Miramar...

But I think that you've come to the right place to find out!
Welcome to the Party!

Welcome to the forum!

Try a search for Miramar. Is this your first RV? If you share more about your travel plans and companions, you'll probably get some helpful comments.

If the 2016 Miramar has the full wall slide, check to see if it has the upgraded "3 Trax" slide system. When the full wall slide came into the picture, the traditional two track system had issues keeping up with the weight. Lots of MH's had serious issues as a result. This inspired Thor to develop the 3 Trax System and it solved the problem for the most part. You can quickly tell by looking at the tracks on the sides of the slide...there will be 2 at the top and one at the bottom vs. just two track bars.

We are from Long Island. We used to have a 33' pull trailer. We want the RV now.

We have a 2018 Miramar 35.3. We love the Miramar but we had a lot of issues to get fixed. The last one being a reoccurring leak in the dinette slide roof. I am hoping it is fixed now.

Other than than the issues, we really like the Miramar. Since the one you are looking at is used, hopefully all the bugs have been worked out of it now.

We just had the RV inspected. Over all it was good. We do have the 3 trax slide.
There are two main items we are concerned with.

1-All these units say they come with the washer/dryer prep. The closet it goes in is all built out so we can't get to the pipes to confirm. Is there any way to confirm besides taking it apart or is there any way this could of disabled it?

2. The awing is not in the greatest shape. It works, but looks warn. What does it take to replace?

Washer/Dryer Prep

We have a 2018 Miramar 35.3, same as Metalgator. We've not had as many issues as them, and really enjoy ours. As far as the washer/dryer prep, it is behind the removeable panel on the left side of the closet, mid-way up. The water lines w/valves and the drain line are there. There are also separate breaker protected receptacles for the washer and dryer if using stackables. We used a combo vented model and are very pleased with and recommend it. You will have to cut a hole through the side wall of the motorhome for the vent, just double check your measurements before drilling.

Thank for the welcome and the info. We pick up the Unit next Friday. We can't wait, but probably not doing our first trip until spring of 2020. We are looking to install the stack-able, but not sure yet. I will get someone to install it. We also want to add the Wifi and maybe Satellite.

We got a 2015 3years ago and have really enjoyed it. The layout is perfect for us and the grandchildren. They love the drop down bunk. The big slide is a concern but treat it carefully and it should be fine. I always make sure we are level before opening it. The back outside kitchen is very handy but we have had a problem with dust and water coming in so I just installed a couple of extra latches on each side. Will see how that works. Good luck with the RV.

I purchased a new 2019 34.2 in April and have had nothing but problems with the slide. It has been to the dealer twice and Thor in Elkhart once. My motorhome has more miles on it going in for repairs than from me using it. I have used it for a total of 3 weekends since I purchased it because it never worked. Now the slide is starting to have issues again. I wish I had never purchased this motorhome. I would suggest not purchasing any motorhome with a full wall slide. I loved the layout and thought Thor was a large manufacturer how could they manufacture a product with major design flaws. They did. If I had it all to do over again, I would go with a different manufacture that makes a better-quality product. Thor has tried to stand behind the product, but it obviously has major design flaws. Don’t buy.

Welcome from another newbie!

We just joined a week ago. Our Aria is 35 ft. 7 in. Long, similar to yours in size and we love it. We drove all the way to Elkhart, IN to get one of the few remaining 2019 Aria 3401’s left. I think you will appreciate the size.

We are a week away from pick up the Unit and we are considering getting an outside extended warranty. Anyone have any thoughts or experience? We will let everyone know how it goes.

Lots of opinions and threads here on that subject. If it's through the dealer, pass on it. You already have warranty on everything coach when you buy it. You can always purchase that extended warranty later, so think abut it over the 1st year and get a feel of how comfortable you are fixing things. They are expensive and a huge profit center for dealers. I've never been a fan of extended warranties on anything but a few people here have had good luck with them. Search the forum...lots to read about it. It's a personal call.

Not buying from a dealer (RV or Warranty). Looking at 3rd party warranty. They are expensive, but its like an insurance policy. I could fix small items, but nothing big (I am sure I will learn more). We figured if on the road full time, we might need it.

Those extended warranties might be expensive... but what is "peace of mind" worth to you?
We bought them with both of our RVs, and have been happy with them.
