New Thor Owners

Wife and I just purchased a 2016 Thor Vegas 24.1 at the Raleigh NC RV show a couple of weeks ago.
It's our first RV and I have been all over this forum learning what I can about other peoples experiences with these coaches.
A big thank you to Ed Felker for the excellent Thor Vegas 24.1 Checklists & Users' Guide , it is a wonderful guide with many excellent tips.
I look forward to learning more.

Congrats and welcome.

That does make me wonder: How many people discover the Vegas/Axis units (at dealers, shows, etc.), come home and start googling around for information. Then they find Ed's manual and decide to purchase (or do they decide to purchase before googling?)

I can't say it lead us to purchase as we owned ours before he completed the manual (our decision was made at a camper show...loved it...ended up visiting the show all 3 days).

petew,

Hello from Maiden NC! Welcome to the Forum.

Is your 2016 Vegas 24.1 on the E350 or E450 Chassis? Ours is an early 2016 and we have the E350 (it seems Thor uses both in the production).

Doc

Doc,

Our unit is on an E 450 chassis. And thanks for the kind welcome.

petew, your E450 will have more weight capacity than we do and our E350 is just a little maxed out (time to put it and me on a diet).

Safe travels.

Welcome!
Vegas is a great first RV, and the 2016 is a better coach than earlier model years. Few changes were made in the 2017s. You'll learn as you go (we all did) from your friends here and those fellow rvers you'll meet.
Happy trails!

Welcome from the Ozarks.

New Vegas 25.2 owner here. First time rvers here. Without this forum we never would have taken the plunge. Ed's PDI checklist was a lifesaver in knowing what to look for and ask about.

So far we love our VEGAS, even though we have yet to take our first long trip.
