Good Morning. We are new to the forum and I look forward to reading and learning from it. I retired last year from the nuclear industry and my wife will retire from teaching next month. We have a Solitude fifth wheel from Grand Design that has given us no problems. We now want to move up to a Class C and travel more starting this summer, and have been looking at the Magnitude RB 34. However, I have been reading on several of the forums about quality issues ranging from leaking windows, plumbing issues, and the quality of the cabinets. One major issue that seems to repeat itself is the problem of putting the diesel fuel in the two tanks.
Any thoughts on these issues? Thanks and I look forward to receiving your knowledge.

First: Welcome to our campfire!
and congratulations on finally winning the rat race!
Build quality...
RVs will always be a bit more prone to issues.
What would happen if you tried to drive your stick-built home down rhe road at 60 mph?
I guess you have to learn to roll with what's thrown at you, and figure out the best ways around all of it.

Welcome to the forum.
Lots of good stuff about the Magnitude/Omni line in the forum. Search the forum or look in the Class C section.
Thor is not Grand Design so don’t expect the same quality.

Welcome to the forum. Things rattle and shake which will cause issues on the road. Just be prepared to deal with them no matter what brand/manufacturer you go with.

Congratulations on retirement and welcome to the campfire. I can’t speak for the Magnitude RB 34 but then do appear to be nice coaches.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your retirement! You'll find this a great place for general or specific questions. Enjoy the journey as much as the destination.

Here's my .02 cents worth!
We full-timed for 10+ years in 5th wheels, looked several times at different types of motorhomes, but seemed to us we had more liveable room, much more storage & more home like feel in the 5er.
Not to mention with either you'll be towing something, either the trailer or a toad to sightsee with once parked. The truck & trailer CAN be backed up as far as your ability will take you, the motorhome with a toad 4 down or on a dolly CANNOT be backed up..............more than about a foot.
With either setup the fuel mileage will be approximately the same. Fueling, if both are diesels, can be done through the truck islands from either side for the motorhome or whichever side the tanks on for your truck. With a gas truck towing a trailer/5th wheel or a dual tank diesel motorhome could be a PITA to fill at a convenience store

Welcome aboard and congratulations on your retirement! Enjoy every minute you deserve it! I have been retired now it will be nine years in July from my career. Got bored and dabbled with working a couple days a week at the local hardware. Covid came along and straightened out my thought process and I am officially completely retired again!
The Magnitude and the Omni look to be great coaches. Though as the Texan said if you have been towing a 5vr getting into a Motorhome will more than likely require hauling another vehicle to use once parked, definitely something to consider.
Anyway Happy Trails
Mark

Another thought: We had a fifth wheel before our first Class A purchase. It was great when for traveling to an area and staying for a few months. When our travel style changed to more and shorter stays at any one place, the motorhome made traveling much easier.
Like our other RVs before, a Class C and a travel trailer, they fit us just fine until they didn't. For us and the way we travel (now), our Vegas is our "Goldilocks" coach, not too big, not too small, but just right. JackRandy, hope you find the coach that fits you as well!

Welcome to the forum and into retirement. I have been retired 11 years this June. It took some time to adjust and life is great. Many new options and ideas to try out on the road.
