Rapid Blinkers/Flasher

Hi, I just purchase a 2013 Thor Four Winds 23U. The only problem I have are the blinders, they are super fast. I can't find the flasher, I have found two relays under the dash near steering wheel. Does anyone know the wiring diagram for these relays. And is there a flasher on this RV. Thanks

Usually a fast blinker indicates that there is a burned out bulb--not a problem with the relays.

HI JamieGeek, I checked all bulbs, and when I use the emergency flasher it works perfect.
But when I use the turn signals it go super fast. Thanks for you help.

Wow that's odd.

Here are a couple of turn signal diagnosis pages:
Diagnose Turn Signal Problems | eHow
TROUBLESHOOTING BASIC TURN SIGNAL AND FLASHER PROBLEMS

The second one seems to indicate that the improper bulb may be installed.

Change your flasher. You need a heavy duty one. Turn on one side and zero in on it by listening for the clicks. If you plan to tow a car you will likely need one anyway.

Did you purchase it used?

If so, did the previous owner install LED tail lights?

A fast blinking rate is a common issue when installing LED tail lights as they do not require as much current, which does not load flasher enough.

Incredibly, some of these vehicles still use the 100yr old mechanical flasher technology.

There are two possible solutions if a previous owner installed LEDs.

You can upgrade to an electronic flasher. However, some vehicles may still report a burned out bulb in OBD even if you are using an electronic flasher. If this is so, you may want to add a resistor in parallel to the LEDs (there are resistors made specifically for this).

First of all, Thanks for all the input for this problem. I can't find the flasher and there isn't any LED lights. I'm still looking for help. Thanks, rbclem

I think Ford puts the flasher up under the dash, near the steering column. It definitely isn't in the normal place a flasher would be - i.e. in one of the fuse blocks (at least on my 2011 E series).

One of these days I'll get out my inspection scope and go looking for it.

Good Morning, Still working on fixing fast blinker problem. The only flasher I can find under driver side dash are two flashers hanging with four wires to each one.
I can't find any information on the wiring these two flashers. Does anyone have a picture or know of a wiring diagram to make sure there are wired correctly. I would appreciate any help. Thanks, rbclem
