New member from Michigan

New to the forum and new to motorized RVs. In the process of purchasing a 2018 Vegas 24.1. I am sure that this forum will be my friend as I learn about the good and bad owning a motor home. Am retired and will use it for "camping" and travel to our Florida home in the winter. It makes me worry just a bit after reading some of the horror stories here about poor workmanship and poor customer service. I just hope that our new toy is "one of the good ones". We take delivery next week.

Congratulations on your new coach and welcome to the forum!!! If you have questions this is the place to ask them. Lots of nice people with much experience are willing to assist you in your new journey. Don’t remember where it’s located but Ed has a Great manual you can download which a huge amount of very useful information on your coach, I’m sure someone will chime in with a link to the manual.

Go out and have LOTS of fun!!!

And remember...only 2% have serious issues that represent 90% of the posts. We are very pleased with our new Thor and you will be also. You're going into this venture with the right mindset.

Make sure you download and read it before you pick up your unit; you'll end up knowing more about it than the dealership.

As far as the horror stories: things are never as bad as some would like you to think... or as good as the rest would want you to believe either!

But it's going to be fun, so sharpen up your marshmallow stick!
