Do a couple short weekend trips and use every device in the mh. Better to find a problem close to home than at the start or middle of a big trip.

I agree 100% with Jerry's advice, take a couple of short trips so you know what you're missing. Better to find out close to home instead of in the middle of nowhere!
You didn't tell us much about your past experience with RV's but if you're asking for info, I'm going to assume this is your first one?
If so, I wouldn't leave home without some of the essentials you may need to keep the motor home operational. Get a tool bag and fill it with some of the commonly needed tools.
- Screwdriver, adjustable wrenches, flashlight, handheld tire pressure gauge, zip ties, duct tape, knife, measuring tape
- battery charger, jumper cables, long extension cord
You also might want to think about adding in;
- Small air compressor
- Umbrella or rain gear
And maybe a AAA (or competitor) membership?

Welcome Fully load it up (all of the holding tanks with water) propane, clothes... Take it in for a front end alignment. It changes since the motor home was aligned at the factory empty. Once you fill it up, the alignment changes. Look for and use every system, light switch and locate the fuse panel(s).
Have fun
Paul

Hello, welcome home. You have to ask yourself in the event of a malfunction do you want to leave your new coach at the dealer, drive it to the factory or fix it yourself. For me, a trip to the dealer is almost 200 miles round trip, I get around 6 MPG so I figure each trip costs around $85.00 plus loss of use and my time. I carry a small tool bag with cordless driver and bits, pliers, dikes, tack hammer, crescent wrench and tape measure. I have been able to fix everything that broke, fell of or generally was installed wrong in the coach with these basic tools. I also carry an air compressor and tire gauge. I chose to do my own warranty repairs as well as suspension upgrades. The only thing a shop has done is the front end alignment. Taking this path has allowed me to use my new coach every day since I signed the papers.

Welcome aboard! The guys/gals on this site have given you some great advice on tools and such. I would add a multimeter for checking both the 12 volt and 120 volt systems on your coach. Safe Travels and happy camping

I experienced a whistling noise coming from the grille area of my 2018 Thor ACE. I contacted Thor and they sent me a wire mesh insert that went behind the grille. I installed it an it eliminated the noise 100%.

Absolutely, do local runs. I have a 2020 and you have to remember, the buyer is the Quality Control Check on a RV.

LIke many have advised.....spend some time in your bus close by before you take a long trip. It's hard enough to get work done nearby let alone in the middle of nowhere....warranty or not. Make sure all systems are working...frig (electric and gas workings) slides, hot water, water pump, air, heating, levelers, radio, entertainment systems and particularly your tvs and remotes, cameras, sensors of black/grey, fresh water and do some traveling to find the squeaks and bangs and work on them. Watch anything electrical from your systems mentioned to receptacles that aren't hot (that's activated) Your engine will be the least of your worries....house systems are the problem areas. Hopefully you'll have a heavy rain to check for window (especially where water runs off the roof) and roof leaks...Thor only gives a 90 day grace period on roof leaks. Pay close attention to air pressures which are more crucial unless you have spent the extra on additional sway bars, steering stabilizers and shocks.Follow the guide on the placard by your driver's seat. Also, keep an eye open for any loose or working loss screws, trim, etc. along with drawer latches and outside compartment latches.

Front end whistle
2018 Windsport 29M
The whistling noise on Windsports and others is well known. Was so loud I couldn’t hear the radio. Many articles posted here in the past. The cause is the design of the grill. The openings in the grill whistle while driving, especially at highway speeds. I worked with my dealer and Thor sent a screen that mounts behind the grill to create different geometry of the openings. Simple install, just use zip ties to connect it to the existing grill. If you don’t have a dealer u can probably go directly to Thor about it but have heard some folks have difficulty with that. Confounding that it’s still an issue, can’t imagine why they haven’t addressed it yet. This fix assumes your windows are closed right etc. if you search this forum you can find some of the old articles, some with photos.
Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forum. I guess after having lived 9 years in Michigan I would suggest a long trip south and west until spring.
