Thinking of Buying 25.3 as First RV

I joined since we are seriously thinking of purchasing an Axis 25.3 as our first foray into RVing! I'm sure I 'll have some questions to post as we get into it further.

New Vegas 25.2 Owner here

We just purchased the Vegas 25.2 about a month ago, and, though we haven't used it on any extended trips (yet), we love the size and the features of it. We would have looked at the 25.3, but wanted the couch instead of the dinette.

We liked the 25.2 since it didn't have the slide right behind the drivers seat, which limited the positioning of the drivers seat due to the wall.

I think you will love the AXIS/VEGAS if you choose that route...

Enjoy!

One month into our Vegas 25.2, our first RV. Enjoying it so far. Perfect size for the two of us (plus small dog). We chose the 25.2 for the sofa. It's been an easy introduction into RV'ing. Not too big, powerful engine (though noisy), easy to maneuver. Unfortunately we've had a few warranty issues already. I'm not making excuses for Thor, but according to everything I've read that's considered normal. As long as you have a little bit of patience and a good dealer to take care of you, you'll be happy with Axis/Vegas. Good luck.

The Axis/Vegas experience seems to be, overall, one of the best choices a seasoned or new RV owner can make at this point, when shopping the mid-size field. We love our Axis 24.1..which is entirely different, in floorplan from the 25's ... we like having the slide up front for more living room ... and you can turn the drivers seat around when parked, albeit it takes a bit of ingenuity !! Our bathroom is smaller, but very usable and the twin/king bedroom is perfect for many of us ! Kitchen and storage in these units is ample !
Enjoy what you decide upon and have fun with all of us, sharing ideas and photos!

25.3

We purchased our 25.3 in January at Quartsite. We downsized from a 39 ft DP. We just take off and can fit it just about anywhere unlike the 39. We have a gel cover for the mattress and it's great. To fit the slide the mattress is two thicknesses. The shower is the largest of all the models and the two wardrobes are roomy. The gallery is the largest also of all the models. We have done alot of modifications. We got ours with all the options (15k AC etc). We have not used the outside tv yet but we don't tailgate. The 2017 has a tankless hot water which is nice...we have not ever ran out of the hot water yet. Not sure there are any other differences in the two years (2016/2017). WE get 10 mph and 8.5 with jeep in tow.

David-
Welcome to the forum! RVs are like shoes. So many different types and variations. What works for one isn't suitable for someone else. And our needs and tastes change over time.

For the two of us and an occasional extra person, and the way we travel, our 25.2 is the right fit at this time. Like Goldilocks said, not too big and not too small.

Bring your questions here, folks are happy to share their experience and expertise!
