Thor Vegas 24.1 2014

Hello Everyone, can anyone help us figure out how to turn the sewer outlet so we can run the hose out the bottom vs through the door ? It’s very frustrating 😆

Push really hard: It is hard to move at first but eventually it moves--I wasn't able to move ours for a good 2 seasons before it loosened up.

So our only way to use it is to go through the door ? Hose won’t bend enough to feed through the hole on the bottom ....

It will rotate: it just needs some muscle on it...
(Perhaps a small amount of penetrating might help??)
Ours has always turned under a firm; but controlled hand...

Oh! Welcome to the Forum too!

Don't muscle it too hard.
I twisted the rubber fitting that attaches to the tank and caused a leak. I could have easily twisted it all the way loose.

There is no sin in going through the door. Many of us do.
Go through the door, get empty and clean, THEN wrestle with that valve or better yet replace it if you don't like going through the door.

Oh , OK, we can go thru the door... just thought it was meant to go thru bottom, especially when parked in one place for days... that door will be resting on the hose all that time...

We have come to love the variety of frozen dinners available and we just don't cook in the rv anymore. Open the fridge, and an 80 cent banquet tv dinner or a $8.00 high end dinner awaits us, in 150 varieties.
12,000 miles, so far and we have never used the stove or skillet.

Just a hint. We did the electric skillet in the last rv, then we didn't.

It will turn--the outlet is made to swivel.

Looks like any misalignment of grey and black pipes could cause binding, making it hard to rotate.

Hi ! Thanks for all your help and responses, it is greatly appreciated as we are new to RV'ing ! You are a wonderful person to give your advice to a new RV'er, it is invaluable ! Thank you so much …. We are putting in Firesticks on our TV's to watch Prime Video and Netflix, we are putting in a GPS and integrated satellite radio receiver and CD player, we are adding dvd's to all 3 TV's. We, or I should say I, love the ability to get TV, cable, movies, news, etc, even though the purpose of the trip is to see the USA, I like my night stuff...

I had the same problem with the discharge tube pointing the wrong direction into the compartment. I took the bottom round plate off completely, loosened the screws on the valve assembly just enough and turned the whole tube down to exit out the bottom hole. Who ever designed this is probably laughing because the stuff that comes out of that tube does NOT run uphill. It's a really quick fix...don't know if that was what the factory intended but it works. I also store my dump tube in the compartment. :-)
