Tony & Debbie

Hello to all please bare with me I am learning this forum so I will make mistakes. Me & my wife are new to RV lifestyle since I just retired. Hope to get to know more of the members. We are currently on our shakedown of everything & the previous post is our only issue that I haven’t been able to correct

Congrats on the retirement and welcome to the forum! I retired in July 2017 and we have been on the road ever since. Don't be afraid to ask questions - there is a lot of knowledge on the forum that can more often than not help.

Thank you Bob, our shakedown is in north Alabama around 100 mile radius around Killen Alabama. Shakedown cruise is going good learning valuable information for cold weather & preparation to camp in cold weather , most valuable lesson RV in warmer. Wheather [emoji23]

Glad to hear that everything is going as planned...

Cold weather?
That's easy: Rum, and warm blankets!

Yup, cold weather is no big deal... electric heaters... alcohol... gallon jugs of water... sweatshirts... and Xbox! We are currently in Western NY with several inches of lake effect snow predicted and boondocking!

We grew up here so we don't really mind it so much. In fact, shoveling the snow alongside the RV helps keep the underside insulated and creates a wind block! (Always looking for an opportunity to see the positive!) Plus the pups LOVE playing in the snow!

I applaud your ability to find the positive!
I've never been able to find the positive aspects of shoveling snow!

I compiled an Owners' Manual for Axis & Vegas to augment the generic one provided by Thor. My manual has checklists, system descriptions, troubleshooting guides, helpful hints, periodic maintenance, and many other hints pulled off this forum. There is a lot of information in this manual especially for first time owners about how systems operate.

Here is a link to the manual that you can download.
