We bought this 3 weeks and have been out on 2 trips and LOVE it but have one question. When we start it the engine light comes on for 11-12 seconds on start up then goes off and doesnt come on again until we stop and start again. Is this the normal procedure for everything reading, sending signals then good to go? Ive always driven diesel pickup trucks and this is our first diesel pusher. TIA

I would say that's it's not normal; but that doesn't mean that it's something serious!
I'd have a good diesel mechanic look at it; and see what they have to say.
Good luck!

Are you speaking of the yellow wait to start light on the left side of the cluster? If so don't crank until it goes out.

Arrow 'normal' engine alert light at startup

yes, it's a 'normal' engine alert light, though it probably is an 'emissions' indicator, not some issue with the engine...it comes on when you turn the ignition to 'ON', and it goes out several seconds after startup of the engine itself.

Ditto with Turner comments...lots of lights come on when you turn key. It's a self-test that the lights are in proper working order. They go off at different times but shortly after engine has started.
