2016 Vegas 25.2 Fresh water drain

Hey everyone, I have drained my fresh water tank a couple of times after use. A real slow process. Today I opened the drain and pulled out the drain plug on the hot water tank. I then decided to turn on the water pump and open the kitchen sink faucet. I figured this would put the fresh water into the gray holding tank. Well the water pump also pumped water out through the hot water drain. This made draining the fresh water tank much much faster. This worked but to keep from running the fresh water pump I may reconfigure the fresh water drain and replace the valve as a new project.

When I drain my fresh water tank (and am in a hurry) on my 24.1 I use the pump with either:
  • Use the outside shower and let that run or
  • Open the two low-point drains
Both can empty the tank in about 20 minutes (or less).

Usually, though, I'll just open the fresh water drain valve and put the RV in the storage lot--letting it slowly drain out there.

I have not tried the low water points or the outside shower. Thanks for the ideas.
