2017 Thor Miramar Procedures for switching from generator to shore power.

After relocating and parking our 2017 Thor Miramar we connected to the shore power (50 amp) with the correct connectors and surge protector with lights indicating that the coach was receiving power to at least the switching box, we left, leaving only one ac unit running on low at approximately 80 degrees by the manual thermostat. When we returned a few days later, the coach batteries and the vehicle battery were dead. I was able to jump the vehicle battery and start the engine but I had to charge the coach batteries for a couple of hours before they would start the generator. After full charges I again left the vehicle hooked up to shore power only to find all the batteries completely drained again,on my return. I know I'm missing a procedural step that is not switching to the AC shore power from the generator and is then running only on DC without starting the generator or switching to shore power. What isolator switch am I failing to activate or deactivate when I leave?

You have an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) that automatically switches to SP when the generator is turned off. Does your microwave and fridge indicate they are running on AC when on SP? If the air conditioner runs then you must have SP to the coach. Check the breaker to your converter or inverter/charger. Make sure your USE/STORE switch is in USE or the batteries will not charge.

As 16ACE27 said, make sure your coach is set to "USE" position. Whether you are hooked to electricity or running the generator, your batteries will NOT charge if it is in "STORE" mode. Based on the limited information you provided that is most likely your problem.
