7 pin plug

questions for the group: does the 7 pin plug have a fuse? if so where is it? in line or panel? I have running lights work to dolly and that's all. thanks in advance!

So your brake lights and turn signals don't work when you plug in your tow dolly, but your tail lights do?

I would start by making sure you have good connections. Are the metal contacts inside your connectors rusted?

Don't know if your dolly is new or has ever worked right, but if you have another dolly or trailer you could hook up to it you will soon find out if the problem is in the coach wiring or dolly wiring.

As far as a fuse goes, if you coach has brakes lights and turn signals then it probably isn't a fuse issue.

Here is a tester for both plug and socket available from Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Towing-Traile...in+plug+tester

Anyplace that sells or services trailers would have such a devise to test your rig.

Pick up a 7-wire circuit tester (you should be able to find them at a local auto supply store, if not order that one on Amazon). That will tell you if its the coach, or the dolly.

LOL! Jinx!

Get your chassis manual & look under fuses, I think you may find a "trailer fuse" in the main fuse panel wherever that is on your coach.
