I invented that.

67, sold my software development and ACH processing company and retired at 59. Now I'm working harder than ever. Might need to get a job just so I can slow down...

Wife and I just turned 60. I retired three years ago. Wife works about 4 days a month.

We got our fifth 5th wheel because we had four dogs and it was hard finding people to watch them. So 5th allowed us to vacation and take them with us

Only one dog now and the 29m. One big trip and several small ones during the year

Next year. May-mid July will be Zion, bryce, grand tetons, Yellowstone, cody ,mt Rushmore

Jerry

Both early 50s about to put kid through college so yeah still working for a bit.

Usually a bunch of weekends + 1 or 2 big trips a year (RV'ing or not for the big trips).

DW & I are 65/63 respectively. I have been on disability since 2013 when neck surgery made my headaches worse than before. My DW joined me retiring 2 1/2 yrs later. Our 3 boys all live away from town, so we use the ws31 quite often visiting them & taking the 2 oldest G-daughters out camping.

I am 45 and my wife is younger than me (not by much) .
We have owned our rv for almost 5 years .
I have three daughter's 20,15 and 12.
Biggist reason we bought it was my middle daughter would not fly and will not travel without the dogs.
The rv solved both of these and gave us many more oppertuites to do family stuff.
We try to get out at least twice a month. Even during the winter.
Both my wife and i drive the rv.... this allows us to be more flexible.
Last bi trp was close to 3000 miles and loved ever minute.
Every year we try to add a new state to the map ....next year we should be good for three.
Tom

The DW and I are both 55...... still working. We were going to retire at 55 but we have been having too much fun spending money. We then pushed it to 59.... and as of a few months ago we agreed to call it quits in two years at 57 1/2..... life is too short and getting shorter each day!

My wife was very much into camping and I was not. My idea of roughing it was a Hampton Inn.

I decided that I could do the camping / RV lifestyle if it included some of the comforts of home.

After deciding between a camper or a motorhome, we purchased our first new MH last year..... a new 2018 Outlaw 29H toy-hauler so we could put our Spyder in the garage and not have to pull a toad. We could go site seeing on the Spyder while camping and exploring other parts of the US.

I liked RV life more than I thought. It was nerve racking at first because of all the typical issues we had with the coach after spending a lot of money. But I settled down... took it in stride.... this site helped immensely.... and I made the rig better than new!

We have been planning 3-4 month trips out west, etc. once we retire but after a year we realized as much fun as the Outlaw was on weekends or 3-4 day trips, it was going to be too small for long trips. It was also not going to be practical to take the Spyder for that long when weather would be a crap shoot and we’d need a better vehicle.

So the plan was to research Super C’s and buy one at the end of next season.... shake it out for a year.... then get a toad before we retire and hit the road out west.

After going through a bunch of Super C’s in Florida back in August and September we went through a 2020 Magnitude SV34 with 4x4 at a dealer two hours away from our home in PA. We thought the floor plan would work nicely and we could spend 3-4 months in it at a time.

As I was ready to walk out of the dealers showroom the DW started wheeling and dealing..... next thing we know.... we traded in the Outlaw and bought the Magnum..... a year ahead of schedule!

We have a few of the typical issues. I have already fixed, replaced and upgraded a few things and we’re now dealing with the dealer and Thor on a plumbing leak (think I’ve tracked to behind the fridge and probably the ice maker line), the induction cooktop top failing, MobileEye seeming to be erratic, replacement of the awning fabric after finding a hole during the PFI, etc.

We went out on our first trip last weekend. After the maiden voyage we really love the Magnitude and the F-550!!! Its a major step up over the Outlaw 29H.

The other good news is we had a date in Wakarusa in November for the Outlaw and when they called to confirm earlier this week, we asked about bringing in the Magnitude instead. They said no problem.... so now I’m trying to decide if I’ll deal with the dealer or just take it to Thor and have everything done by them.

The only problem now with buying the Magnitude a year early is.... we are going to have a hard time working another 2 years because we are really ready to hit the road now!!!! [emoji2]

I'm 66 and the DW is 64, haven't been able to travel like we wanted due to grandchildren and wife's disability. Hopefully will be able to travel more in the future.

I am 74 and Wife is 73, first met in 5th grade, then lost touch for 15 years. I retired the first time in 1989 and the second time in 2008. Wife retired in 2009. Got back into RVing with a 32 foot fifth wheel after moving to California in 2013. Sold it and purchased Gemini 23TR in March 2017. We have made two long trips, Iowa, Missouri and in between states in 2017 and Colorado, Wy, ID, MT, WA and OR in 2018. In 2019 no long trips, just a couple short ones due to minor surgeries on my arm and hand. Planning to hit Florida next summer.

I'm 62 and DW is 60. Both retired after long careers in the orthopedic device industry. No grand kids yet so it's just us a dog and the cats.

I’m 62 and DW is 70. Retired at 55 with 35 years in the trades. Was a Heat /Frost Insulator & Asbestos Worker in the Chicago Local 17. Most of that time was spent working industrial job sites. 35 years of climbing scaffolds in oil refineries and crawling around power houses has taken a toll on the knees, hips, and fingers In fact Old “Arthur” has moved into just about all my joints. We decided 35 years was enough and it was time to travel while the body still let’s us. We spend 4 - 6 weeks a year on the road, usually out west as well as few days here or there locally visiting g- kids in Mi. I would like to do the full time gig but can’t get the DW talked into it. She says she needs the stability of having a house to come home to. 🙄 I will keep trying though.

I think it is awesome to put some information with members on the forum. I think with learning about peoples backgrounds we can learn more from each other.

I sure know about our friend Arthur, having broken to many bones playing to rough and still not learning my lesson. Life has a lot to offer but you need to be around to enjoy it.
