Leveling Jacks

This is the first time I have had a unit with auto leveling jacks...

My driveway has a slight slope near the street. When I auto level, the unit will level, but my front tires (I back in) are off the ground. Is this ok or am I doing something wrong? I have discontinued leveling in the driveway until I get some guidance.

Depending on how big your slope is it may lift your tires, may look weird but won't hurt anything, the jacks are made to take the weight. Don't worry, be happy!

My driveway did the same... If I was going to be parked for a while - I slid ramps under the raised tires - but more for 'looks' than supporting the weight... The jacks will handle it.
Note - if lifting the REAR wheels like that - be sure the fronts are securely chocked - as you will lose the holding power of transmission/parking brake.

If an RV (non-residential) fridge - you will find you have to be level for it to properly work... The reason I level in driveway a few days before trip.

I don't level mine in the driveway. Its not sloped that bad. Fridge cools just fine. When I turn the fridge on before a trip I place 2 one gallon milk bottles filled with water and frozen into the fridge and freezer. Cools it down in a couple of hours instead of overnight.

Actually, I alternate weekly lifting my front and rear tires with my levelers. This keeps the tires from developing flat spots. I also cover my tires because UV is the enemy of tire rubber. Add keeping the tires properly inflated and you practice good tire love.

I think you will be better off in the long run if you learn to level manually. I could be on perfectly flat ground and my auto level would raise the tires off the ground. Unacceptable. Learning to level manually is a snap.

Leveling Side to Side

So glad to read this info, but what about side to side leveling? We get it pretty level front to back with the auto leveling jacks, but the current spot we're in is lower on the driver's side - which is the slider side. A little worried about that. I tried to manually level it but it didn't seem to be working too well. Any suggestions?

Get your Lippert instructions and a level at least 36 inches long. Retract the jacks, level manually using your level as a guide. Next, follow your Lippert instructions on how to reset the auto level, done! Actually a fairly simple task.

Yes, its probably very close. Resetting the auto level is just kind of fine tuning, make sure you do it with the slide closed.

I don't know if the tires are supposed to be off the ground or it's simply the way this works but my tires are also off the ground in most situations which I've come to expect and have never had a problem. If I have "auto" levelers I should be able to press the button and let it "auto" level. That said I can manually level it in many cases in the exact same spot without my tires being off the ground. The one thing I do like with the tires off the ground is the distance from the bottom step to the ground is most often the same as the first step. I have misjudged that step more than once when this is not the case and nearly fell out the door.

See my post above, you need to reset the zero point on your leveling system.

Anybody ever slightly raise the front off the ground, but not the tires, in order to get clearance to change their oil? Of course I would place jack stands under the frame once I raised the body. The fenders and front end are tough to crawl under.

Was taught to grease a suspension with wheels hanging... and I do that with an oil change...
Leveling jacks to raise front wheels - park ramps under front wheels (still hanging but touching the ramps at whatever height they are at) and jack stands under frame/axle - then easily crawl under to change oil and grease the suspension.
