With the window problems, however, it is likely you wouldn't be able to stay in the RV (with Thor's factory service: you show up Sunday night and camp in their lot--they have hook ups. At 7am Monday a service tech knocks on your door and starts the process. If it isn't finished by 3ish they bring the coach back so you can stay the night, then at 7am Tuesday it all starts over.) I couldn't do that because they needed to leave my walls apart overnight to dry. So I simply drove home on Monday and returned on Wednesday to pick it up (yeah working stiff here too--had to take a couple of days off for the 3 hour drives).

Do they let you in the service bay when they are working on the coach to check on the progress or talk to the techs about anything?

Sort of: there are different buildings for the different Thor Brands (Axis/Vegas and ACE I think have their own building). If you're waiting in the waiting room they will call with updates (at least an estimate after they've picked it apart and know what is wrong). I would imagine if you asked at that point they would take you back and show you.

I say that because when everything was all done the tech that did the work took me into the service building to our unit and walked me through everything he did (including extra stuff to prevent future problems in other areas).

You can bring a toad so you can explore the Wakarusa/Elkart area (the RV museum and hall of fame isn't too far away). The local Enterprise office also has a deal and will bring rental cars there too (I ended up renting one so I could drive home and back).
