I lost mine and called Thor. They sent me caps for both sides. After installing I put a few wraps of electrical tape around both sides

If thor won't sent them to you call carefree. They will sell you them

Second pic should be the one you need

I bought a set off of ebay.

Go to carefree product library here
https://www.e-carefree.com/ecarefree30/product-library

then find your awning (we have a Latitude) and download the service manual, it has a parts list, search the part # on ebay

update:
Here's a black idler latitude on Amazon.

I drilled holes and zip tied the front part to the rear so I don't lose them again.

Did you "tap" something like a tree branch or did it just blow/fall off? Something else to keep my eyes on I guess. If this is a common issue I'll probably just buy a couple to throw in the parts bay.

They just blow off. Crap design.

we lost one of ours also. My fault, grazed a tree. I ordered through carefree. They were great to work with. Tried General Trailer where I bought the RV. They said they'd look them up and call me. Its been four weeks, no call. Glad I called carefree on my own.

For those of us who have yet to lose our's, probably a good idea to zip-tie them in place, while we still have them.

I have a 2018 Sprinter, Synergy. I lost one piece to the rear cap due to normal traffic/use. I called Carefree Awning and they sent a replacement at no cost. The dealer installed it under warranty labor. However, the same thing happened again and when I called Carefree they stated that both front and rear caps were redesigned and they sent a replacement which the dealer again installed under warranty labor. You may have the defective older caps and if so, Carefree should replace them at no cost. Replace BOTH front set and rear set (all four pieces) as the entire cap has been redesigned.

Reinforced my replacement caps with black Gorilla Tape. So far, so good.

I agree with Mr Bowe. One of mine is in Wyoming somewhere just north of Cheyenne and the replacement is somewhere between Yuma and Tucson. Carefree Colorado sent me replacements free of charge both times and the last time sent the redesigned caps for both the front and rear of the awning. I wanted to make sure that it was the last time for that to happen so I secured them with the black gorilla tape. Made it all the way to Alaska and back and then To Tucson and back and still have them.

I purchased mine used and it was missing an end cap. Dealer had it deliver3d to me. I got both left side pieces but only needed the bottom. It was easy to install

Idler Aden cap

Thanks to all the Thor owners. Got the part from Carefree of Colorado (totally NOT carefree) through my local service dealer. $48 with “freight”. All fixed tho and added electrical tape as one owner shared.

End caps crap

Brand new 2021 Delano lost both end caps on our maiden trip.
Too bad these rigs are not built better.....this is not the only repair needed in the first week. Leaks, wires falling, shelves broken, etc.
Maybe all these RVs are built to create a replacement parts market.
Thor may build the most, but so far I’m not a fan.

Advice above about tape or zip ties is a good idea. Thanks

I use a little black RTV around the top and bottom latch.
