Awning question

Our awning is electric and it seems to be able to roll back up in either direction. This may be a stupid question but is there a right and wrong way to roll it back up. I’m thinking the right way is with the canvas at the top vs bottom

Definitely on the top. Will not store correctly the other way.

I would want to roll the way so that twigs, leaves, etc. fall off while rolling up.

Yep, roll with the material on the top. If the leaves don't want to fall off, roll it up in small increments and use a broom to knock off the junk as you go up.

also, rain from the roof....does it run out and over the roll, or is it funneled into the fold?

The awning supports have 6 different level holes. We have ours set, as do most I've seen, such that the awning sits further down at the back of the RV. This way the water from rain or the AC will run onto the awning and then down toward the rear.

Since these awnings, do not slope down enough to drain water off of them, they should be adjusted so the rear is lower then the front, so at least a good percentage of the water will drain off.
