Wow! and look at that 27N floorplan, not one, not two, but three slides and one of them is a full-length slide--eek. There has to be a ton of room in there.

Does Winnebago use the same slide mechanism system as Thor?

As a follow-up, I did not see the Vista 26HE listed under the link Jamie provided, so was curious what the reviews were, and if they suggested a reason why that floorplan may have been dropped.

The following review may be of interest.

Winnebago Vista 26HE Review | MotorHome Magazine

It looks like new Vista and Vista LX floorplans now start with 178” wheelbase. The only motorhome from Winnebago with 158” WB I can find is in the new entry-level model. The above review of the 26HE suggest the short wheelbase may have been responsible for bad ride on bumpy roads. That seems reasonable to me.

Looked at the 29m today

Coachman has a Pursuit that is Awesome.
Awesomely EXACTLY like the 29m. It is the 29ss Pursuit. Queen bed but bed is oriented same way. Dream dinette.

Tanks of grey and black are smaller. The whole thing feels smaller and the couch is about an inch smaller too. Microwave definitely smaller and oven. Bathroom.

not as spacious as the Hurricane/Windsport.
However a wrap around dash with large touch screen.
smaller refrige it appears.

.....cut.....
The motorhome is almost a foot shorter, so gives up queen vs king bed on one side, and jackknife vs couch that appears to open transversely for sleeping on other side.

I’d have to assume that when open into a bed, that couch comes very close to dinette, hence why dinette is only 30” X 70”.

By dinette standards that’s narrow, making it tight for 4 adults. However, for smaller motorhomes like Axis/Vegas that often travel with only 2 adults, that’s great use of space.

It’s also interesting they show a fairly large cockpit table that could serve for 2 adults to eat if the dinette was occupied with kids or guests.

A narrow dinette like that, and even a little wider, would be a great “option” on an Axis when there is no living-room slide (like on 25.2 floorplan).

Very insightful
I can only assume after all my research that the designers are like ladies fashions
They all do the same things one year
*regardless of what average people actually want
The forum brains are right
Have the designers actually tried to use these?!

Documentation from these manufacturers is very lacking on accuracy at times.

I found a sales picture of the Coachmen Pursuit that makes the dinette look wider than 30”. It may not be as wide as typical dinettes, but certainly looks wide enough for 4 normal-size adults to sit. The couch across the aisle also looks longer than on floorplan, as if it’s a jackknife type.

I’d like to see a picture of this aisle between kitchen and bath when slide is in. How does a large person even get into bathroom?

Oh and did I fail to mention...?

The TV is encased in the wall.
Big no-no as you are stuck I guess with that size TV (small)
Or defeating the purpose of a pretty wooden frame encasement

The terms, Will Sleep
And Will Seat
Don't mention the word COMFORTABLY
LIKE will seat comfortably

A couple of interesting design features on the Axon/Reno that Jamie first posted about that are interesting.

Dual Air-Conditioner option with 30-Amp and 4kW generator. Looking at details it appears they use dual 11,000 BTU/h high-efficiency A/Cs with a power management controller similar with what Jayco offers on mid-size coaches. The list price is just over $1,000 so an option I’d quickly buy if offered on Axis/Vegas (assuming Thor made a floorplan I’d want to own).

The EM 30.2 AC System seems to be a great middle ground for those motorhomes that need a little more than 15,000 BTU/h A/C but don’t quite need the cost and weight of a 5.5 kW generator. I hope this idea becomes more common.

Another possible issue on 29M is full wall slide. Not many people I know like them. We or better I, keep watching what is produced. OCC is the biggest issue for me. Other than the shower, the Vegas 24.1 fits what we do fine. We can also use Vegas with slide in when we pull into some spots. The couch still works as a couch.

End of summer, if we have not upgraded to a bigger machine I will start adding: a second A/C, Hellwig sway bars and Sumo springs in front. I would like to ditch couch and get recliners but the better half uses veto power.

The last significant difference on the Axon/Reno I noticed is an over-cab bed that tumbles down instead of elevating up-and-down while remaining level. I see both pros and cons to this design; and have seen similar function on mid-coach bunks over narrow dinettes in bunkhouse RVs. However, this is first time I’ve seen over cab seats. If made light and manual I’d prefer it, but motorized I’m not sure it’s any better (maybe just cheaper). This design looks like it would move side-to-side unless there is something to fix it in place which I can’t see in picture. It seems to drop down quite a bit, and the back panel blocks windshield nicely. May even help in reducing solar heat gain through windshield (just a little). I look forward to seeing this in person.

Same here. For part time use I couldn't justify it. Paint and interior finishes look Very Nice ! I wonder how they drive? Also like the drivers door. I'm hoping bye the time I upgrade, Hymers will be available to look at. Thanks 4 posting.

Yes, the WinnyB Via is out of production, but new is the Vita. It has the Mercedes chassis and is listed as a Class C. The floor plan is similar to the popular Vegas/Axis 27.7, but the diesel pushes the price up by about 40 G's. The front seats swivel, but they include a pillow for those front seats to compensate for step up to the living area.

Different strokes for different folks!

Here's the 2019 Via 24P:

I know people who have the Via. Same floorplan as our Vegas 24.1. Very nicely finished and better MPG than our Vegas.

The downside for us is it GCVW, the Via tops at 15,500 to a little over 16,000. The Vegas is 22,000. At our usual 18,500 (w/5500 lb trailer) the Vegas has no issue staying with traffic and merging with the racecar trailer.
