Perhaps a dealer was moving it from one location to another.

That's certainly a possibility. If you go to RVTrader and look up discontinued Axis/Vegas floorplans, you'll find that there are a few of the early 2016s with tall windshields still listed as new.

Since these floorplans were not that popular, plus they have the tall windshield and likely the older 5-speed transmission on E-350 chassis, dealers may have to discount them a lot to move them. When the 2018s come out soon, it's going to be even tougher to get rid of 2016s.

By the way, I saw a 25.1 at PPL a couple of days ago -- one of the discontinued floorplans. Had an hour to kill so stopped by -- always great to see how motorhomes hold up over time.

We traveled round trip between Miramar Beach, Fl and Bradenton, Fl recently and counted at least 4 Vegas / Axis sightings. It's hard to get pix while driving!

We spotted 2 Axis and a Vegas at Fort Wilderness a couple of weeks ago. One of the Axis had a Texas plate. The Vegas was in the 300 loop when we got there and still there when we left after 6 days. We were camping in the 500 loop.

While we were having late lunch in Roswell NM yesterday (March 20), we saw an Axis heading north on Main Street (Rt. 285) around 2 pm. in the downtown area. Only caught it for a second...no license plate info.

We are heading to St. James County Park Charleston SC this Friday to hook up with the Dixie Traveliers...hollar out if you see us on I-77S,or I-26E or US17 as we'll be the ones grinning from ear to ear up front and a spare tire on the rear!

Saw what appeared to be a brand new Axis traveling West on I40 in North Carolina .
It was about 12:00 noon and was traveling with me from Raleigh through towards Burlington . It looked to be a 25.2 since it had the rear slide.
It had North Carolina plates and was all shiny and new.

As we were heading towards Tallahassee last Monday spotted an Axis on the off ramp to SR 59, I-10 west bound, they were towing a cargo trailer and the left front tire on the Axis was flat.

I just spotted a Vegas on UT-128 at one of my favorite pull outs and then later heading in to Moab. Whoever you are, enjoy this beautiful part of the country!

SPOTTED A VEGAS AT HARRAH'S (Cherokee NC not Vegas Nevada)

Just a shout out. Spent Memorial Weekend at Happy Holiday RV Village in Cherokee NC (HappyHolidayRV.com). Started out at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Thursday night and spotted another Vegas 24.1, so I had to park next to it. Ours (an early 2016 model) is the front one in the pictures with the larger windshield. The second Vegas 24.1 has the smaller front windshield but the Vegas logo is still on the rear quarter panels so I think it is a 2017 model. I think I saw a 2018 posted somewhere and the Vegas Logo was on the front quarter panels.

Sad note: The Harrah's at Cherokee is becoming "RV Unfriendly" and - even though we park in the farthest corner of the huge (almost empty) parking lot - they put up signs that said NO RV OR TRAILER PARKING. I have overnighted there several times in the past two years, but this time with the sign and a flyer telling me where I can park that was left under my windshield wiper it looks like this will be the last over night stay at Harrah's Cherokee.

On a better note: the water was flowing and the fishing was great! Happy Holiday had a live band Friday and Saturday night and a trout catching contest (none of our were tagged) Sheree got an 18" Rainbow and I just a 17" Rainbow...but all were very good eating over a fire pit for a couple of dinner meals!

Hope all had safe travels and fun; but please remember the Veterans - especially this Memorial Day...remember those who gave all.
